Description: Usio's IJN Sendai. A Sendai class light cruiser, commissioned Apr 1924, Yangtze River and China patrol from 1925. Involved in the Malaya invasion, then the Solomon Islands from July 1942. On 2 November 1943, at the Battle of Empress Augusta Bay, Sendai took major 6" fire from USS Cleveland, Columbia, Montpelier and Denver and sank the following morning.

I run into a problem when I try to copy the regular unzipped Sendai folder out of the zipped Sendai folder. I get this error message.

It seems that a lot of these uploads are repeats and a few are repeats of repeats. Might I suggest that we all read this thread and compare it to what we want to upload? Also, if we take our time, we should let one person upload and fill in the blanks later. Who has the largest library and the most time? Of course if one of us has a request or needs a ship for a campaign being built, It should be uploaded immediately as a courtesy. As a matter of fact, I have a question/request:

Should this thread be promoted to "Sticky" until this project is finished or nearly finished?

I started the thread and put all the upload posts in this thread so that people don't upload what has already been done. If people don't RTFT, then it just means I'll have to clean up more messes and have less time for doing anything else.

When I hit skip Shadow Wolf it does copy me a unzipped regular folder as I want but I've discovered that in that folder there is no DP file so I used the "Normal" one that was in the "modified_DP_file" folder but the MDL file is missing from the MODEL folder. Didn't have this problem on any other download.

Okay folks,

The way this has happened so far, is giving me fits. We desperately need some standardization here.

I have gone through and fixed every single upload, so that the name of the download is exactly as it was at Usio's site. (With two exceptions thus far for objects)

When you upload, I need you to please name the file name the same as the .zip file you are uploading, with the prefix "JMK_

Example?

JMK_Akagi_V5.zip

If you can rename the upload to this configuration, please do that, but if not, I can take care of that part, as well as adjusting the date and username.

More importantly, please double-check to make sure that another user has not uploaded the same ship prior to your doing so.

Also, most of Usio's later revisions include the effects files as well as the objects themselves. This proved true for both the lighthouses and the buoys (the latter of which I combined into one package, rather than three)

So please just upload the objects, unless you confirm beforehand that the effects are not included.

Here's a tip...you can make the search process even easier if you switch the display to Title (ascending) so that they are all in alphabetical order.

Guys,

If each of us scroll through the Usio Legacy folder in the library before we upload his work, we won't have duplicates for Rami to correct.

I am one that was guilty of renaming some of my uploads.

I will abide by Rami's guidance.

Also, I will await the final upload from all y'all and see if anything is missing before I upload again.

At one point in 2014 I downloaded every single ship on Usio's website. If he did any work after that, I may or may not have downloaded it.
Keep up the great restoration!

Using the "Wayback machine" as a reference, I went through and inventoried the library this morning and made some interesting discoveries...

There were several duplicate models, which are outdated by newer versions that are also in the Usio legacy section. I deleted these today, because we don't need the older versions, just the newest ones:
