Description: This is a repaint for the payware A2A Simulations AT-6 Texan. This repaint depicts AT-6C/Harvard Mk.IIa VH-NZH, owned/operated by Judy Pay, based at Tyabb Airfield in Australia. This aircraft originated as part of the USAAF contract for AT-6C's and was initially assigned the USAAF serial no. 41-33767, but was completed to a British order as Harvard Mk.IIa EX794. The aircraft was then passed to the Royal New Zealand Air Force, arriving in New Zealand in July 1943, and assigned the RNZAF serial NZ1051. The aircraft remained in the possession of the RNZAF until 1978, but was retired/put into storage as of 1962. The aircraft was acquired in 1978 by a Mr. Nortier of Auckland, NZ, who housed the aircraft until Judy Pay (one of the longtime leading lights of the Australian warbird movement) acquired it in 2001. The aircraft first took the skies again in 2004, following restoration, and is finished in the markings of a 1941-era Pensacola-based SNJ-3.
