I have the usual problem... to many ideas - too little time... maybe late Christmas... at least for testing.

    Polar Pioneer semi-submersible rig

Vale Brasil - the currently largest bulk carrier in the world

The Polar Pioneer should be recognisable for those living near Seattle as the plan to use it for drilling in the Arctic was highly contested by environmental groups...

Yes, apart from the version on the Blue Marlin there will be a static version with a somewhat higher level of detail. You might also want the Rowan Gorilla jack-up I did some years ago. It is already available as static but as far as I remember only ss part of a scenery of Abidjan.

I do have the "Rowan Gorilla jack-up". Did you ever do a version with the legs down..?

    Other rigs...

Do you have any other rigs in process..?
I think you had mentioned a Maersk at one time (I may be wrong)

I have 6 drill ships including one from Maersk. They are prepared as static models but not published as such yet. I guess I might have said that I will do a semi-submersible from Maersk. But it is still just a plan. They take a long time to complete as they are not symetric and have too many tubes, vents, stairs.... The Polar Pioneer I put aside in desperation three times...

The Samsung drillships made by Henrik can be found adapted as static models in my temp scenery of them laid up in cold stack at Eleusis bay:

The bgls and their textures are included in this pack. You can place them anywhere if you can use an object placement tool.

Thanks - I had forgotten about this, but you are absolutely right

The stack is now 5 drillships, still no sign of them being reactivated. A further one will be hot laid up in Brazil soon, to be more ready for action if needed. The cost of reactivating one of them from cold lay up condition is huge so they need a big contract to decide to light them up.

The bulk carriers are gone as rates have slightly increased for them lately and they found work. I have not updated the scenery though.

If you release a new version I am sure it will be the first scenery update based on rates in the offshore drilling and bulk markets

    UN bans 4 ships

The UN banned now 4 ships "from entering every single port across the globe, punished for violating sanctions on North Korea."

    Interesting story....

Do you already have similar purpose vessels.?

Well, the specific ones from your pictures aren't there, but something similar yes - here Ocean Shield built in Norway for the offshore industry, but shortly after transfered to the Australian Navy, which among other tasks has used here in the search for the missing Malaysian 777.

Meanwhile production at the yard continues with a serie of old russians from the early 80'ies but with several still in service.

    Impatience is a sin!

Besides, according to the FSDev thread, Henrik has been travelling a lot lately.

I would not call 3 months and asking about a mans work as being impatient.
I thoroughly appreciate Henrik's superlative ships but would have no idea
about how to check his schedule.

    Cool Subscribing to the thread...

Really like the idea of AI ships. Got the Haze Gray Studios US Navy AI Traffic package. So hoping for more ships out there...Of course, if the Russian and Chinese and North Korean Navies could be out there in FSX/P3D, cool.

The last two replies in the thread were yours, asking for status updates every time. That's very much impatient.
