    Cheers,
Thanks for these nice words. You will actually find many small "stories" around... from pirate attacks to fishing trawlers in distress getting assistance from the coast guard... Below a pre-Olympic patrol with the Type 22 frigate F49 Rademaker near the Sugarleaf mountain in Rio.

and the same frigate in rough weather

and the Cornwall from the third batch of Type 22 frigates

    Drill ship and rigs.

I'm really liking what you have done with the drill ship.
With the expert modeling and texturing I would guess you have done other types of rigs..?
Any chance you could show what they look like and if they are available as separate AI ships that
    AI Carrier could handle..?

In fact I have some other rigs - Rowan Gorilla is included in the pack together with Maersk Helper

but I also have it as an individual model, but it has never been published

    Static Scenery

    Very nice jack up..
I spent time working on offshore rigs so I have a fascination about offshore equipment.
I was watching a TV show about the Maersk Interceptor last night, impressive.

If not as separate AI ships would you consider placing some of your rigs in static scenery locations.?
Maybe the Rowan Gorilla with legs down in operations mode..?

As oil rigs are not making money sailing but being static drilling I might consider to do some scenery with rigs positioned once I have a few more models - it also give options to create traffic with shuttle tankers and PSV's - Maersk Interceptor is actually also somewhere on my construction list... For those who don't know it take a look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DucDg-0nQfg

I'll look forward to seeing your "Ocean Rig" come to life and hope the oil field scenery works out.
I know a lot of heli pilots will be very happy.

After spending a lot of hours on modelling the least part is actually the positioning of the models however it will not be with exact real life positions as I do not have access to these for the mobile drilling units.

And well the model progress a bit this morning

Slowly, very slowly... Loads of work in the real world and a very complex model, but I expect it to be finalized this weekend.

Well, patience is still needed, but at least she was taken on her first sea trial today.

    Rowan Gorilla

Really enjoying the Rowan Gorilla, Maersk Helper, and a couple of DSS Smit Tugs in AI Carrier, thanks.!

As three of these and probably a fourth one soon are laid up in the gulf of Eleusis near Salamina in Greece, including the Olympia, it would be nice to place them as statics. Actually, the current crisis has led a lot of ships to be laid up so I may use your models to lay them up in rows in the bay. I often fly over them and got pics of how they are moored.

Great model Henrik! I appreciate the amount of work needed on such a complex ship.

    Hi
Sorry for being slow in responding - you should soon be able to receive the static versions. I just finalized the texture sheet and very little modelling is left.

Just wanted to give my thanks to you for making these packages. They have really brought life to the oceans in FSX and thanks especially for including the Great Lakes as well!

You are welcome This project has taught me a lot when I have been searching for documentation - and the Great Lakes was a completely unknown area to me before. But looking at the variety of ships, looking at their routes, their cargo, and histories was a great learning experience.

    I am getting there... Slowly...

Maersk Viking, Ocean Rig Olympia, and Ocean Rig Apollo - there will be at least five different versions of the Saipem drill ship included in the next package.
