    IMPORTANT - Duenna Maps/Graphics Failure

    Good Morning,

Last night I was hit with several people claiming the graphics or maps in the Duenna do not work.

In V0.891 of the Duenna (John Mueller's original) the map does not display but the graphic does.
in V2.0 of the Duenna (my update to allow FSX:SE and P3D) the graphic doesn't generate at all.

The problem is Google actually, you see John's original Duenna used version 1 of the google maps static api which was deprecated in 2009 and completely turned off last night. When you try to generate a map this is the return.

The reason V2 of the Duenna also doesn't work is that I didn't actually modify much of John's original code, the reason no graphic at all is generated is because error handling in .net is different than vb6 (what the original was written in).

So what does this mean? Well John's originally duenna will never work again, so anyone who is using that one (which you shouldn't for the race anyway), my apologies but there is no fixing it.

As for the V2.0 of the Duenna, I am working on rectifying the situation and will have an update out soon.

My apologies for any inconvenience. You may still continue to practice and the Duenna will still spit out a text file.

    Thanks.

Had another FSX freeze. Both with the ABC F8F. Will test further.

That shouldn't be Duenna related as the Duenna never actually interacts with flightsim directly, it reads what FSUIPC spits out.

    Working good with the F7F.

Edit. After several test flights with various aircraft, the duenna seems to be working good. Some kind of glitch(s) earlier.

Made a couple test flights using the latest version. No issues here. Thanks again Eamonn.

Likewise here Eamonn. Did several test flights of 700+ miles and both text and graphics created after landing safely. Using new/latest version.
