    That is what I've been doing. That and I re-made the propellers from scratch.

    Does anyone know how the nose gear works? From what I understand, it's supposed to just rotate backwards into the compartment, but it doesn't fit when the suspension's fully extended, unless pulled forwards (Then it fits perfectly). I have no way of proving or disproving this theory, does anyone?

    TJ, I already have those pictures, that's what I've been using (Except for the landing gear, I have even better pictures of that), I'm asking how it worked. You know, maybe some article or documentation about it.

    Great looking work et awesome project, Maty

    Payware or freeware - does it really matter with so much serious work going on in there?

    The willingness to go back to scratch on items such as the props you mentioned, appears to separate the men from the boys.
    Don't let yourself be 'rushed'.

    Bravo, Sir!

    Wish I could help you out with the nose gear mechanism, but I'm sure all your research will pay off.

    Glad you think so. However, with the nose gear so far I doubt I'll find what I'm looking for, as there were only 40 planes equipped with the amphibious gear, 4 being conversions. As such, flight manuals and schematics are extremely hard to come by.

    Just gonna leave a list of reference that would be helpful (If anyone finds it or has it lying around):
    -Any interior pictures of the PBM-1, PBM-3C/D/S or PBM-5/5G/5S/5S-2;
    -Any interior pictures taken inside 122071's main hull, aft hull and tail section;
    -Flight manual for the PBM-1, PBM-3C/D/S or PBM-5S/5a;
    -Any article or schematic of the PBM-1 or PBM-5a;
    -Any story involving a PBM;
    -Any advice/information on the PBM from personal experience.

    For now, I'm facing a nightmare (No pun intended) solidifying the interior.

    Where'd you get that from? No, it's not dead, but I did make this thread asking for reference. I feel the list will help. I am still working on the plane, but looking for reference as well.

    When it's finished. I have no way of knowing how long that will take, this is my first mod, and I'm still at the 3d modelling stage. There are still the whole "getting it in game" and "getting it to behave like the real thing" stages after that.

    Maty,

    Based on these pics (even though the oleos are compressed) I see no issue with the gear folding rearwards.

    The side view shows a decent length of door opening.
    As you can see by the attached pics, the pivot point is just above the door opening making for a very short swing back.
    How much oleo extension did you model? My guess is that the oleo maximum animated movement is about 1/2 the height of the tire.

    Glad you're helping me out. Did not know those were called oleos. I do think I exaggerated their length, but only because pictures of the plane post take off seem to show them extending quite a lot:

    Edit: I found out what the problem was, turns out I hadn't opened the gear doors enough, and they were my reference point.
