Thread: A big tip of the hat toTim"piglet" Conrad...

There's a whole bunch of talent there ....though Nigel was the only person who could make F1 sound boring when interviewed...

Got autographs from 3 of those 4. Sadly I thought Ayrton would be round a few years longer so didn't take the chance when I had it.

    It's coming along...
Have the fuse mostly done.. need to start on the wings...

    Edit....getting closer....it sure is fiddly...

Quite impressive how fast you are coming up with the new S-T schemes! Even with a paint kit it is still a lot of work to get the smaller details right :-)

For the Indonesian S-T I think you can use the profile posted above as a good source on what are painted bellow the quite tape as seen on the delivery flight scheme.

    Best regards

The "Esquadrilha" seems to be a dificult one endeed. Nice work!

I think it's safe to say it's the hardest Tucano there is.
The underside stripes towards the front are an intersection of about 6 different pieces....not all the same scale...

    But I'm getting there...

Edit....yes, this is THE WORST. The last couple of pixels at the bottom of the fuse sides are stretched dramatically...just where the hellow stripes get to the nose-wheel door.
I'm going to have to grid-pattern the intersection and recolour per-pixel ....yep, one at a time....

....or I can pretend the ground crew were really slack and there was a huge hydraulic leak....

This is the new demonstrator a29 paint presented in Dubai Air Show 2015:

Just thought to let you now
An Libanese air force just bought 6 fresh new a29´s.

Obs: The "esquadrilha" paint is fantastic the way it is now!

I've finished with this one...law of diminishing returns. Added a bit of dirt to help mask those last 4 pixel rows.

I need to paint the tanks and helmets too, I guess...

Same quirk is going to be frustrating when I do a Thunderbirds what-if paint ....unless I can cunningly avoid those pixels....

    Edit ....helmets and tanks...

    Thanks, Mike...

I'll have a go at that Demonstrator one if I can find some more pics of it.

Hopefully it'll be easier than the Esquadrilha one...

Great link, Stefano ....thanks....I had a few pics already...but so far nothing 'certain' about the wings [plenty for the fuse...that'll be 'easy']...

I did this painting in 2012 (4096 x 4096), in that time I also made the paint kit in this resolution but i has lost it.
It is sad to know that not have developers interested in making this iconic airplane in high quality

    Hanimichal ... that looks great...
Fear not, as I've redone the Paint Kit in 4096, and multi-layered [too much so as they get too big for the program to handle [PSP]]. I keep on having to back-up and weed out older layers so I can add new ones.

Here's a very very early pic of the latest....

    This one's fun to do...

Edit... side is roughed-in ...still need to find exactly what the wings do.

Other than certainties re the wing tops....this is finished.

    I was born slow...so nothing's changed much...

The TBird's being a pain in the proverbial....much the same issue as the Display Team paint .... matching the confluence of 6 separate pieces of image....[just behind the nosewheel door].

Of course....suddenly it hits me....if I take out the bottom 'spikes' and just have the bands 'round' underneath the issue goes away.

Yep.... a lot easier bypassing the paint issue around the front u/c door....

Just about done...few stars to go...etc.

    ....and helmets and tanks again...
