    Favorite plane?

Well isn't this a quiet little part of the Outhouse? Lets see if we can stir up some conversation again.

I flew Blackshark allot when it 1st came out but by the time DCS world came out my ole puter really couldn't handle it running at reasonable frames.

Since I got the new rig I have been making up for lost time & this is one title that I have wanted to check out & I gotta admit I think I am becoming addicted to it!

Flaming Cliffs was fine but when I got the Mig-21 it was a whole new world. I guess I am systems guy at heart because the detail they have poured into this aircraft is amazing.

I used to be Sierra Hotel fighter jock back in the DOS Warbirds & Air Warrior days. Not sure if my years are catching up with me or I have just gotten rusty but I am not having much luck with this plane as a fighter. Interceptor I can do fine & mud moving pretty good. The thing I get the most joy out of is just plain ole flying the plane.

I am starting to consider my next DCS purchase & was looking for community input. So what is your favorite DCS plane?

    Regards, Bob

Hello Bob,Nice to meet a fellow DCS Enthusiast I Agree The LNS Mig is a highly detailed, systems modeled Cold War Beauty!! Personally I enjoy The DCS WWII Warbirds,The Bf-109 is quickly becoming my favorite,A real Challenge to take-off and Land.

I'm not sure if you're aware but LNS is working on a F-14 TomCat that promises to be on par or above their Mig.Do out in Beta this year.

    Thanks Patrick!

I saw a post somewhere about them working on it & I am really looking forward to it! Naval aviation is a passion of mine & I would love to see it get more developed in DCS.

I had heard that Razbam was working on DCS now. I hope he updates & migrates some of his models to DCS as well.

Razbam will launch the Mirage 2000C by december. Same model as the well known FSX M2M Mirage.

Based on the clues given, Leatherneck's next plane might be the SAAB Viggen. And that should come with an entire new map.

But right now I gotta say my favourite is the A-10C for the simple fact that it is a modern strike platform. I've become pretty close with the FC3 Su-27, too. Wish it had a clickable pit...

A Mirage would be fun as would a Viggen but if they doing Swiss birds I would rather see a Draken! Something about that airframe just grabs me, very sexy!

I decided to stay with Soviet iron for my next purchase & grabbed the Mig-15. I really like this plane as well! Its a real turn fighter & thus far I have been able to dominate the F-86's 1 on 1 (if more than one the results are generally predictable & not pretty).

As mentioned, M2k first, but there were WIP pics of the A-7 and T-2 porting over. Raz has some WIP pics of a AT-6 and F-15E on the FB page.

Watching the Tomcat, but I bought DCS for the A-10C, still my favorite and if I could only port the cockpit over to FSX! As rotorhead, the Huey is a good time.

I love helo's & am looking forward to getting the Huey & Mi-8 but I am having fun with the fast movers & want to master them before stepping into something completely different.
