Sorry all,
Got caught up in repairing storm damage this weekend,
not mine but my neighbor did not fare so well..More
uploads for the project coming soon.
17" inches of rain in 3 days and 85 mph wind gusts can
lead to a lot of damage. He is in his 80's, served two tours
in NAM and his input has been great for the project, I have
no choice but to put him before the next project releases.

"Laissez les bon temps rouler"
Hello All,
My neighbor who did a tour of duty in Nam and 1 in Korea
introduced me to a book written by a friend he knows that served in
Vietnam, come to find out...he is from my area ( the Mississippi Gulf Coast ).
Plus he has so many awards (to many to name here) including the Medal of Honor.
The book is named " War Stories and Little White Lies " and the author is:
L. Lee Parmeter. It is an amazing account of several soldiers lives during
The Vietnam war with a lot of info that may never had been published if
not for this book:
Check it out here:

Or his page here:

Seems I am down again:
Trying to work on DAK TO GSL scenery but:
Failed to initialize database, QC failed warnings
Slowly attempting to figure out what I did this time.
Hope to be back up and running soon.

"Laissez les bon temps rouler"
OK: Back up and running.....
Back to work on DAK TO finally.
Big thanks to all that emailed to help figure out what I did this time.
I ended up going to a back up copy and adding to it. I will keep
digging into it, But it may be possible that there is a limit on DP files ??
or INf objects ??
http://www.TheFreeFlightSite.com
"Laissez les bon temps rouler"
There is a limit. It is cross-elastic with aircraft, ship and inf file numbers as well. If you have dp files not being used, delete them. Evidently CFS2 can only cache so much information when it boots up.
Cheers,
Captain Kurt

Thank you CK,
Yep that seems to be the problem, working away at it.
If we ever finish this project, I only hope to release it
without anyone having to go thru these problems.......
Then, I have to figure out how to make it into some very
easy simple downloads without everyone having to D/L
and install some 90 or more items.........
http://thefreeflightsite.com/Vietnam_Projects.htm
http://www.TheFreeFlightSite.com
"Laissez les bon temps rouler"
Declare the project finished. (1) Put together a core scenery package with the most essential scenery items as the first download. (2) If there is a campaign involved, trim it down to just a few essential downloads and call this package the second, stand-alone campaign package. (3) Let everything else stand aside as optional addons.

"If you're in a fair fight, you didn't plan it right"
Very good advise BC...But we are far from complete,
I was hoping to release another addition to the NV shore lines, BUT
I have run into the " it will not flatten inland" (but no problem with the
flattens going down the shore lines ??) as I get into the Gianh River outlet area.
I may just release it and move the bridge over a few hundred feet and
Fake it a bit......as if it's a water fall that does not really exist??
We shall see in a day or two............
http://thefreeflightsite.com/Vietnam_Projects.htm
Once again, I thank all of you for your help and support on this project.
