    Here is the road version. Also a shot of the damage model with effects. Oh and a view of the info pics. Let me know if you like 'em.

    It was tough to keep up in my little jeep. Here is the M107 road version. If I could have cought up you would have see the drivers head.

    This is the damage model. I'm using the effects from Nibbio.

    Here is an example of what I'm doing with the info pics. There will be no question as to what pack they go with.

    Looks good to me. Prob better than they need to be as when your flying you won't be that close.

    These are Al Simms APIs converted into BGLs with damage models. NoDice sent me eight of them to play with. I wasn't sure if they would work but as you can see they did just fine. I'll finish them up over the next few days.

    My four day week starts Saturday nite. It will be slow going 'til Wednesday nite. Unless I get hit with OT again. In which case It will take longer.

    Last one for now. I have to get some sleep.

    M107 set at a high angle.

    Here are the other two info pics. I could probably lighten up the first one.

    Let me know what you think. If someone else would like to do the Info pics just let me know. I'll send you a copy of the models.

    Your concern over the mail address is much appreciated Allen, But at almost 1/2 a million downloads on the FreeFlightSite
    since 1999, most every one has it by now anyway.

    I luv your work and how much you help out the community. Please stick around for a while.

    Lords of battle...

    All of the self propelled guns should be finished this week. These are for testing mostly. I'm leaving out the LODs for now. I may revise them in the future. For now I think they look nice. They are around 300 polys so the lack of LODs shouldn't be too much of an Issue.

    I have one more M107 and then the 4 M109's. Shouldn't those be M110's. I'll have to do some research.

    Damn John,
    You are doing some great work.

    As far as the M109 vs M110, they were created by Al himself.
    He was boots on the ground, I have many stories yet to be
    posted on the site.

    I am sending him one of my spare copies of CFS2, being he was
    only an FS2002, 2004 flyer and designer...but I think he is excited
    about his original scenery and extras still being used and improved
    today. I will be e-mailing him again shortly...I will take some of your
    pics from the below and forward to him.

    I, Al and I am sure that all of the veterans of the forgotten war, more
    than appreciate what you, Allen, DV and all are helping to to recreate.

    Hell, I ran across some FSX scenery that still uses his macros.

    Again, Thank you all for your contributions.

    They are M110's not M109's. I've looked them both up. Sorry its all wiki.

    M109;

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M109_howitzer

    M108;

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M108_howitzer

    M110;

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M110_howitzer

    M107;

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M107_self-propelled_gun

    As you can see the M107 and M110 share the same chassis. Like wise with the M108 and M109. You can not mistake the M109 for the M110. Not a big deal. I'll just rename them to match the correct unit. If He did the other two, then please send them over. I'd love to complete the set.

    It would be great if he can pop in. You know me and military history. I can't get enough. Any insight would be great.

    CFS2 Vehicle Pack I- Al Simms M107 Self propelled Guns.

    Dave,

    You've got Mail. Here is a pic of the M107 set for direct fire.

    I think you're in a lot of trouble if you have to use these big guns in this manor.

    Info pic as well. Just to complete the set.

    They are destryable but there is no stand alone damage model. Though I could make one after I do the M110's.

    Lima 20 Laos scenery, CIA base is now ready for download,
    includes LZ and LS landing areas...I would use the Bird Dog on this one,
    very short runway.

    This will be fun for mission writers or free flight to check out the terrain.

    Look for Khe San Static and GSL scenery soon. It will include John's
    all new exploding objects and some really great scenery.

    Those dad-gummed 175s worked on either side of my firebase near Hai Lang up in MR-1. Charlie kept hitting us with his rockets and mortars trying to find those US Army 175s.
    They would fire a mission on one side of our FB and then move to a new location before Charlie climbed out of his holes to return fire.
    And, they would fire off missions all night long making it hard for a guy to get some sleep!
    They would then withdraw to a rear area to sleep during the day and we'd get pounded....

    Check your emails, all the last 8 or 9 of them.

    You should have all of Al's Vietnam macros by now.
