    Dave,

    Any chance you could post the original Razbam panel.cfg here? If it had a VC displaying originally, it must be something simple, like a incorrect bitmap filename.

  3. #353
    Here is the original panel and gauges that came with it.

    Org_Panel.zip

    Let me know what ya'll come up with,

    Thanks,

    Dave,

    My hunch was right. I changed your VC entry

    [Vcockpit01]
    Background_color=0,0,0
    size_mm=1024,1024
    position=7
    visible=1
    ident=
    pixel_size=1024,1024
    texture=$primary_panel instead of $A1H-vc

    & now I get gauges showing. The positions are wrong, but they show, & are dynamic (needles move in response to a/c movements).

    When I get some free time I will try to use the multiple VC entries in the original panel.cfg you posted above & change the gauges used to similar CFS2 gauges that we know are CTD free using Notepad. It should then just be a question of fine tuning the positions to fit the cockpit view.

    OK Sir,
    I will hold off on posting.........Hope you do not mind
    But I had a special request from one our Viet fans so
    I mailed him a copy of the one you sent, with the
    understanding that you were working on improvements.

    Not sure how you can make it better, but we are all on
    pins and needles.

    Thanks again to all of our project contributors,

    Gee, I don't know No Dice, But I get an immediate CDT with the new panel(s). UncleTgt's panel seems to be the only one that works for me. I can't find the problem, but I feel it must be something obvious, I just don't see it.

    stoney,
    make sure that you added the gauges to the "gauges" file,
    when I first dragged and dropped them they ended up in my Fonts folder.

    I have checked the download:
    http://www.thefreeflightsite.com/Panel3.htm

    and I did the screen shot from the screen....

    Maybe make sure you are not using the original that I posted
    in a lower thread...??

    stoney.........or anybody interested

    I am slowly converting Alessandro Cimenti's Viet missions to work with
    the new terrain ect. Setting up the runways, updating the aircraft and
    many of the objects ect. First getting them to load to mission builder then
    getting rid of the errors when attempting to load in the Sim and now trying
    to move the ground units to fit the terrain is a bit overwhelming to a novice
    mission writer like myself. Plus..I have no time at this point to actually test them.

    I have a handful that are ready to test, improve or suggest improvements.

    Any help will be much appreciated,

    Dave

    Up and Running...

    Hey All,

    I am up and running again. I don't have my software working yet, but my comp is fully operational. I have to get my Win 7 rig running. I don't want to cook this one again.

    Dave, Allen, Thank You very, Very, VERY MUCH, for all your help. I'll be intouch with both of you real soon. For now I have to get everything reinstalled and setup. Then copy it all back in. It will be a few weeks before I'm ready to start working on stuff again.

    'til Later,
    John

    LMAO...

    Yea I'm here. Limped in on a wing and a prayer. I have the basics running. I'll get the rest as my time permits. I'm guessing a month before I'm ready to get back into everything. Although one good rainy week could speed things up.

    It shouldn't take that long to get most of the things back up. CFS2, gMax, Model Converter X, MK MDLC and BGL Analyze than the old workshop is back. Will you need the mdlc_190_weap and the Make Weapon.bat I made for you?

    bearcat found a minor problem with his A-1E panel and has made an update.

    Quote:
    I found a flaw in the oxy gauge bmp on the ECU window. Made the correction with another edited gauge by another name.

    I have re uploaded it for all:

    Vietnam for CFS2 Beta Release

    HEEEE'S BAAAACKKK!!!

    Welcome home BH23, you have been sorely missed. I had a similar problem, lost both my XP desktop gaming rig, then 2 days later my Win7 laptop that is my internet-safe rig. had to do with the most moronic, alleged "Smart"phone in existence. Typing on a virtual keyboard where 3 keys can be covered with 1 fingertip.
