Had to wait for the router to power back up after a "hit" of some kind .... sim is on a battery back up (RTW style) and was able to continue.

Slight out of sync with post times .... right order just not as timely as should they have been.

Was just about to pass Munda .... almost on top of it at close to 10,000'

After getting full flaps deployed with engines cut the harpoon was able to sustain a 5000' per minute drop at only 110 kts.

Bush plane .... the flaps fully deployed look like a huge pair of swim fins ... awesome.

Gets dark quick .... Winter here, and NO lights on this bird that I could find except Panel and Landing .... good enough it was.

Sequences of an exciting (money back guaranteed) missed approach and circle to land ... in the style of many past RTW white knucklers.

No more snaps after the last one .... both hands on the yoke and feet on the pedals .... or in my case, the number pad and keyboard (still rockin' it ol' school).

Wish I could can some of this adrenaline ...

    Yes!

Thanks matey ... and a ton-o-fun .... this is still the best place for MSFS events.

Greatly appreciated .... I try to get as much out of them as I can.

Well Willy, after I got the Poon all parked and cleaned up the Colonel (Base Commander) returned from his trip and ordered me to report to his office.

Turns out instead of the Court Marshal I though I would be in line for I've been chosen to ferry up one of the many fighters ... here at Santa Ana ... that are being moved up to Mindanao .... say what?!!

Apparently the good Colonel is a long time friend of Miss Nellie and the mere mention of her name changed the turn of events in my favor right away.

Not happy at all with the loss of the P-40, but extremely grateful for the recapture and return of his pride and joy Harpoon .... and finding out how his old friend had been involved I have been added to the select list of pilots headed north in the next few days.

Mission to Malita in top of the line machines .... Mustangs, the big twin engine Grummans and Lockheeds ... I'm sure I saw a "Jug" earlier .... wonder what I'll be assigned.

There's a slight chance that the P-40 could be coming back home after all ....
