Climbing up through New Britain, with the storms staying to the east. Jacquinot Bay.
Love that first pic. I always forget how to open the back window so the gunner can get some air!

Shift e opens the front, then push 2 opens the rear, the push 3 opens the rear machine guns. Never know when you might need these.
Time to get going. We start the longer legs. JCB to GSP.
Safe at GSP.
Nice clear weather today. Had to push a headwind for much of the flight. First, Cape Gloucester area. Second, looking at the pull out map of the South Pacific. Third, over the hills in New Guinea. Last, a good landing at Gusap.
Heading out. GSP to HFD.
Safe at HFD.
Uneventful flight. Clear weather. A bit of a head then cross wind.
Nice shot of a great looking Dauntless .... one of my all time favorite planes.

Thanks Austin. A favorite of mine as well.
Not sure why some of the screens are big, most are small?
Moving out. HFD to WABB. Biak.
Safe at WABB.
Weather was clear all the way. But headwinds also. Tried different altitudes, trying to find better speeds, settled on 12000ft. First shot is of the Hollandia area. Second is near the New Guinea coast approaching an island, Yapen?, indicating too far south. Soon after picking up the radio on Biak, confirmed a too far south position. Turned north and made an routine landing.
Time to get going. Seems some MP's are looking for us. WABB to WA1A.
Safe at WA1A.
Clear weather, light winds shifting around some. Was a bit south of course again.
Crossing the Geelvink Bay.
Manokwari. Japanese base.
Approaching Sorong. Very hard to see the airfield till almost on top of it.
Heading out. WA1A to WAMH.
Safe at WAMH.
One of the longer flights, but not too bad. Plenty of islands to look at. I split this leg into two parts. First heading to Morotai and it's radio. Then turning for Naha. Clear weather and a headwind all the way. Should of brought more fuel on this one. Landed with 36gal remaining.
Climbing to altitude.
Near Morotai.
Islands in the distance.
Approaching Naha.
Off we go for the last one. WAMH to RP17.
Down at RP17. FSX lock up a few minutes into the flight. One of those 10min wait then it resumes things. Lost connection to duenna. Restarted the flight. And just now my keyboard decides to crap out. Another one installed, seems to be working.
I estimate about 10 minutes of flying before the freeze.
Weather was clear with a little more wind. Mostly a crosswind. Climbed to 12000ft.
Passing (make that) Sarangani Bay.
Landing at Malita.

Congratulations on your arrival. A marching band, no doubt!
Please go ahead and start a tab at the bar for the rest of us.
