Anyone have any tips on how to purchase? The site will not allow me to type my e-mail address! So, can't proceed from there.

Same here. That sucks. Each time I enter my e-mail address, it turns pink and will not go any further. I had no problem getting the F3F-2 from the AH site. Me thinks there is a problem with Sellfy. Sorry, Baz. No sale today.

Back from a first test hop. Very pleasing! The flight model feels good and there's a lot of functionalities.
I also love how the exhaust wobbles and the blades of the turbos turn (I'm a sucker for details like that). Also like the configurable crew and the animation of the turrents and crew. Great stuff.

    Cheers,

Selfy didn't work for me either, using IE. Went to Firefox, and it worked ok.

Shouldn't be any probs with Selfy if you are in a NON-EU country. Otherwise use the other vendors sites. FlightSim Shop have yet to notify they have it up and Just Flight will be this coming week.

Selfy worked great for me and I'd rather my money went as direct to AH as possible.

    Hi Matt,

My apologies, we have a small mix up in the texture folder department. Please copy the AH_B17_fuse2_t file from the BLONDE BOMBER texture folder and paste it into the MIAMI CLIPPER folder and you'll be good to go. Well spotted Matt, thankyou.

  19. #44
Thanks Barry will give that a try.

I bought it through PC-aviator, no probs there.
Unfortunately, I have to say i am a bit disappointed, mainly with the looks, which as a painter I tend to look at first. It flies nice, the different animations are nice, in those respects an excellent model, but the outside...no, not for me, sorry.
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to

Can someone tell me how many KB's the external model and VC model are? That'll give me an idea of how well it'll run on my back-up rig, which is what I'm down to at this time.

    Internal: 18.5 mb
    External: 27.5 mb

There are four models provided. Each interior/exterior model size is very close to the above, but they're not all exactly the same size, hence the imprecision.

For some reason Jan we never seem able to please you but there is a paintkit there if you can bring yourself to try it some time. Thanks for buying anyway.

I'm usually don't go for four engine planes, but this one I like.

The images intrigued me and the price was right. A coupon from PC Aviator didn't hurt either.

My first flight was before I went through the manual. Everything was straightforward with a few surprises. Nearly all the switches function, and I really like the animations. Doing a long flight with the turrets rotating and firing, then being able to drop bombs. Well done.

There's more to master. Still can't get my oil temps in the normal range.

One question. Since I can set my ADF frequency, is there a gauge that gives me the direction?

    Nice job. Thanks
