    Weird Pre-Race Duenna Issue

I had a weird Duenna issue that occurred at the end of a test flight. I'm using Eammon's port, FS-Duenna v.2.0.046 R141. If I read the error log correctly, somehow I gained 1 lb of fuel - essentially on landing? This is the first time I've used Accusim and the Duenna together. I hope it's not an indication that they don't play nice together. At any rate, I wanted to get this out there so that interested parties are aware.

Here's the flight log and system log to hopefully shed light on the issue.

Thanks Craig. Doing a test myself. I have that plane, but not Accusim. perhaps we can get Eamonn to take a look as well.

Completed my P-47D-23 flight. Didn't experience the fuel anomaly. I would do a couple more test flights to see if it's something repeatable. Maybe Eamonn's investigation will shed some light. In the meantime, this event is not about fuel, most legs being kind of short, by RTW standards, so if this is the worst that happens, I think we can live with it. Also, have you tried the latest Johannes Mueller duenna version?

Thanks for the quick feedback, Paul. I'll try to run another test flight with Eammon's and one with Johannes Mueller's and will post my results.

This is an issue with Accusim. Because of the fuel returns, the duenna sees this as added fuel.

Thanks Robert. I have a vague recollection of hearing something along those lines in the distant past.

I ran a second test using Eammon's Duenna and this time I didn't get any errors. The only thing I altered was location, just for expediency's sake.

I will look into it. It more than likely is due to accusim's fuel return like was mentioned.

Thanks Eamonn. Miss Nellie says the duenna fuel issue is "no factor" for this event. If it happens and you get a red duenna, make a note in your "baton dropped" post and continue.

Copy that, Paul, and best regards to Miss Nellie.

Thanks guys! I look forward to setting the course or my engine on fire!

Yes, this can happen but only under certain circumstances, it will depend on exactly when accu-sim "adds" fuel to the fuel tanks. If it happens to be right before Duenna samples the data it is enough to trigger the error.

In the new version I am developing, I will not trigger an error with such a small increase in fuel levels as long as the overall fuel is on a downward trend.

This would be great Eamonn. Been thinking about having a go with the A2A P40, time permitting.
