    Outlook.com Blocking SOH

Last week I noticed a strange email block on a hotmail account.

This week I looked into it closer as I have been getting more everyday.

    host mx3.hotmail.com [65.55.33.135]
SMTP error from remote mail server after MAIL FROM:<sim-outhouse.com> SIZE=2761:
550 SC-001 (COL004-MC6F5) Unfortunately, messages from 72.233.76.234 weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.
550 SC-001 Mail rejected by Outlook.com for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your Email/Internet Service Provider for help.

From the reading online I am doing it is a B**ch to get MS to clear their block.

So for right now anyone using MS for their email host will not be able to register. I have added them to the blocked domains list again.

Anyone who currently is using outlook.com, hotmail.com, live.com, live.co.uk or msn.com email address will not get notifications, password reminders, or any emails at all from the forum software.

The reason why they are blocking us is they think we are a spammer.

I am working on clearing the issue.

    Good luck!

I can't remember the last time I heard of MS or MSN giving a hoot about how their policies effect their customers.

Oh, wait! I do remember! It's was never!

Looks like they might have it cleared but still too soon to tell.

We have completed reviewing the IP(s) you submitted. The following table contains the results of our investigation.

    Conditionally mitigated

Our investigation has determined that the above IP(s) qualify for conditional mitigation. These IP(s) have been unblocked, but may be subject to low daily email limits until they have established a good reputation.

Please note that mitigating this issue does not guarantee that your email will be delivered to a user’s inbox.

Ongoing complaints from users will result in removal of the mitigation.

Mitigation may take 24 - 48 hours to replicate completely throughout our system.

If you feel your issue is not yet resolved, please reply to this email and one of our support team members will contact you for further investigation.

Regardless of the deliverability status, Outlook.com recommends that all senders join two free programs that provide visibility into the Outlook.com traffic on your sending IP(s), the sending IP reputation with Outlook.com and the Outlook.com user complaint rates.

Junk Email Reporting program (JMRP) When an Outlook.com user marks an email as "junk", senders enrolled in this program get a copy of the mail forwarded to the email address of their choice. It allows senders to see which mails are being marked as junk and to identify mail traffic you did not intend to send. To join, please visit http://support.msn.com/eform.aspx?pr...ail&ct=eformts

I am using Windows 10 Pro and I use MS Outlook as my email reader but send and receive settings are: Pop3: pop3.live.com and SMTP: smtp.live.com. At the moment I am receiving mail ok but am getting a send/receive error when I try to send an email.

    Cheers
    Pat
