A "quick-n-dirty" race event. Fly WW-II aircraft of the Pacific War to 16 airports in the Southwest Pacific area. No GPS or VOR navigation allowed. The good news is that ADF stations can be used. The bad news is that many of the airports along the route do not have ADF stations. This means that maps, stopwatches, and eyeballs out the window will be useful. You may fly aircraft that were 1) in production by July 1944, and 2) were Pacific War theater aircraft.

You will be "placed" into one of four speed classes, based on the maximum speed possible for the plane you choose, as determined by having tested the plane in the sim at it's critical altitude, under no-weather conditions. The aircraft associated with each class are listed in appendix 1 of the rules. If you wish to fly a plane that fits the production and theater requirements, but is not listed in appendix 1, fear not. Simply submit a flight test report with your registration post, as prescribed in the rules. A winner will be declared for each speed class.

To register for the event, make a post in this thread, identifying the sim, the aircraft you will fly, and the vendor. For example, "I will be flying the Flight Replicas P-40N, in FSX!" If the aircraft type is not listed in appendix 1 of the rules, also include your flight test report, so we may place the aircraft in the appropriate speed class. No sand bagging your flight test! Miss Nellie can tell, and she will deal will you harshly...

The event starts 00:00 GMT, 15 August, 2015 and will run for 30 days, during which time you may make as many runs as you wish.
