Here's a great teaser photo posted to Facebook by Scott Slocum (a fantastic air-to-air photographer) - this aircraft, and more photos of it like this one, will be featured in the next issue of "Warbird Digest".

Earlier this week, the aircraft finally left Chino for its home in Texas.

Making a little headway here on the fuselage, nacelles, and turret.

Had to spend a little time on other requests, and testing for other projects.

    LOL Nigel.

The evening was spent cutting out the doors requiring some adjustments here and there but overall turned out great.

Now, time to cut in some gun ports. Ughhh .... always a tough thing to do well but I will give it my best.

Well, I was able to get the 6 gun ports cut into the nose without too much smoothing damage. Glad that is done.

Trying to get all the little things done on the fuselage before moving back to the engines, nacelles, and gear.

I believe i have all the "G" model things in place for now with the final windows cut in, antennas, bomb sight and pitot added. A little cleanup around those gunner's side windows is necessary.

I'm watching this with interest, indeed i can hardly wait. I do hope there will be an RAF version?

It is my intent to do the popular versions and certainly that would satisfy your wish.

I have been working on the cowling and cowl flaps. This is very tedious and challenging work but hope to finish up all of the cowl/cowl flaps/nacelle/exhaust ring changes today and get the whole left wing and engine assembly cloned for the right side then animate the cowl flaps.

After that, I can focus on the main and nose gear.

Thanks Wellis, et al. I am trying to take this up a notch for FSX native conversion potential.

Working on the upper cowl air intake and 2 flaps now.

I already think it's more than good enough for FSX. Just FYI, I think that the upper cowl flaps are controlled separately. I watched the official training for this plane many times, as it was a very fun one. And they always said to "keep the upper cowl flaps closed", except during taxi. I can find the link for you, if you want.

No problem. In fact, I had forgotten about the video entirely, until you mentioned upper cowl flaps. I'l rewatch it to better prepare to fly this one.

Ahhhhh, finally got the engine cowlings, cowl flaps, exhaust ring, nacelles, turbo intakes, and gear doors done and animated. Now on to the gear.
