A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Ships Add-Ons

Description: Hi All

This is an update to GMax IJN Kuma Class Cruisers for CFS2 V1.0.

It has the textures of IJN Kiso 1941 and IJN Tama 1941 with the bridge structures 01, 02 and (tama) 06 re-mapped to allow for better re-skinning.

No other changes.

Your new skin for Tama looks really nice.
You are my mentor for making alternate skins for CFS2 ships.
I was motivated to try to make some by myself while I was enjoying yours.

As you know, IJN light cruisers were given their names from Japanese famous rivers.
Tama river is one of the famous river in my hometown, Tokyo.
Memorial service for the crews of Tama who died when she sunk in 1944, was held last year in the temple near my home.
It was first time to held memorial service for them since 70 years after the war.

I hope you can share new Tama skis with us.

Model is Multi-LOD and has a new DP file.

GMax models are included.

Importantly, the cfg file works, but it really needs improving. I have tried, unsuccessfully, to make it more realistic.

While ago, I uploaded alternate skin for Akagi & Kaga.
This time, due to lack of documents & photos, there are some parts remain no more than speculation.
It's hard to find info & docs about them during the period.

Any collection & information will be welcome.

I had a lot of trouble with the Kaga.
I was trying to change the 'dimensions' to fit the upper flightdeck.
All I would get was the plane not sitting on the deck for take off, but actually sitting under the deck, statically, and falling in the water.
I gave up and just used the original Kaga deck.
Same problem with Akagi, however, Akagi has a flightdeck that slopes upward from the stern to the middle of the ship and then flattens.
'and they must all be on the same

I had no luck.
Hope that all is well.
I will be away for a while, not sure how long, and not sure about any secure internet, so you may not hear from me after tomorrow.
