    Descent Underground

Sorry that this is not FSX related but I'm sure like myself anything flight related is appreciated. Even if it's not simmulation.

If you have not heard they are re-making the space combat game DESCENT, funded through Kickstarter. I have very fond memories of Descent 1 & 2

If anyone is interested in backing this one head over to https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...nt-underground

Very fond memories of that one. A remake would never do it justice though.

I have good memories of Descent as well.

Although, if I recall, I've never been so spatially disorientated as when inside structures in Descent... you could get yourself completely turned around and upside down.

OMG! I cannot tell you how much time my room mates and I spent playing Descent. Four bedroom apartment with four computers hooked up, and all of us playing (yeah, a few wires ran through the common area). Played Descent from the early 90's, all the way through College. Geez!
Thanks for the heads up! Looking into this now!

Also played Descent together with a friend in the early 90ies, two PCs hooked up with a serial cable in multiplayer mode. Sometimes until the wee hours. Nice memories!
And quite exhausting, after these sessions I always felt as if I had worked for two days in a row.

    Cheers,
    Mark

They have reached the funding goal!

Only 02:50:00 left if you want to back this still.

Thanks to the mods for not removing this from the forum yet.

What makes me shake my head about these Kickstarter campaigns is the fact that any of them are able to sell a few of the crazy high tier offers. 6 people took them up on the $10,000 level. Man 'o man. I mean, I liked Descent and all back in the day, but if I had the money those backers must have, I'd burn mine.
