    Hi Good People,

Just thought I would let my mates at SOH know that an interview of yours-truly is now available at FlightSim.com

Don't normally recommend a visit to another site, however, http://www.FlightSim.com have on their front page a link to an interview of Garry J. Smith - me

This is a fairly comprehensive burst about who and what I am and why I do what I do for Flight Simming.

If you want to spend a few moments getting the gist of my background and experiences then pop on over to FlightSim.com and check it out.

Sorry for the Brag - but some interesting reading I think

    Regards

    Garry

    Thoroughly enjoyed that article, Garry!

I have used many of your paint jobs for Mike Stone's aircraft
over the years. Thank you very much for the work!!!

How is Mike doing? Are you still in contact with him?
I was SO mad when those idiots would hound him over the
slightest flaw in an aircraft. I think I might have pulled the
    plug also.

I was the guy who talked Mike into doing the Boeing B314.
And also the guy who talked Ken Mitchell into doing that
    amazing B314 panel. :-)

    Hi CK,

Not had much communication with Mike over the last few years - he popped back for a while a couple of years ago and fired up a new web site but that now appears to have become "stationary" again with no further entries.

Good on you for encouraging them for further aircraft and panels etc - positive encouragement is always welcome - but for some reason "rivet counters" were the bane of Mike's publishing days - almost within hours of him releasing something the rivet counters were at him for this or that - demanding perfection from their own, often limited, perspective. Some even negatively critiqued him on his Boeing models- not caring that he was actually a Boeing Engineer.

But some of us are not affected, I for one release stuff - if someone comes up with a reasonable recommendation on an alteration then I will do it - but some critiques I just ignore - what I give out is for free, it suites a majority therefore they can either enjoy what they get for free or build their own. Bit callous but if you bend to the rivet counters demands too much then you will never move on to the next thing.

My perspective is "here it is for free" - disregard it or enjoy it is totally up to the end user.

Regards and thanks for your kind words about my work.
