The best way to tell the models apart is by looking at the backseater.
I don't think that tank tops and shorts belong into a cockpit seat, no matter how good they look on the person wearing them.

Been redoing several of my earlier paints that were pre Matt's line work and thus pre 4096. They've benefitted from the rework...
Paint pattern to fuse is done....just the notes etc....
Now for the wings...
Couple of tiny bits of text on the tail that I have no clue what's what....
....otherwise it's finished...
That's about 20 paints down and 250 more to go (or so).
Here's another one...
Need to revise the camo on the tiptanks and lower the gloss a tad....just what happens when you paint into existing ones....like the spec is still from the previous.
Here's the Czech 40 years anniversary one...
Now to find something more obscure...
2433 is finished [perhaps even fully as I think Matt's notes are OK for it].
I checked over the specific camo for this plane and changed it to suit. There never seems to be a quite 'standard' pattern....only an approximate...
This is now about as close as I can make it...
Each time I search for something new I find more relevant details for ones I've already done....so then I need to get back and amend them...latest to revise was that Belaya Rus one .....tail wasn't quite right.
One thing I've noticed....you have to be careful you're looking at pics of actual planes...and not some sim repaint...or plastic model. Those tend to often have errors....even allowing for transient processes of paint updates/revisions on the real aircraft...
Here's the amended ver....after finding a better/clearer Belarus artwork for the tail....
Latest one.... just need to work out what's written on the tip tanks...
Worked it out...it's the web addy for the team.... www.czechjetteam.com ...
This is the first privately owned Albatros...
And I got the exact correct colour code for the black...RAL9005 = 10,10,13
It all helps...
Now trying to find photos of the early prototype artwork....OK-02 I think is the first...
where do you find things like the paint code?....blows my mind about the research you guys do...i could never do it..id rather just "play"...leave the thinking to others..................wait...whut?
You recite the mantra....'Google is my friend'....
And remember the rule...'GIGO' ....garbage in = garbage out. The quality of a search result is dependent upon the quality of the input.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_RAL_colors
Then you keep the link...
The OK-Jet website mentioned the RAL code....so all I needed was to find a list....if you mouse over the 'chips' it'll give you the RGB in HEX.
....generally it all takes time....and luck...
Details are sketchy...seen only one pic of 'X-01' only....X-02 slightly more...
Here's an early paint on the go X-02 call is 'OK-32' ....
Gotta do the wings ...white with red stripes...and find/add more detail...
That's the general paint done...but will have to 'research' more yet...
Clarified a few details.... the tanks are only 1/4 red, not half.... and the blackout is a bit shorter...and there's an Aero L39 on the fuse sides...
Silly question, but where are all these skins hiding.
Thanks

Currently still on my HD. I'm hanging out for some more details from Matt's better half to see whether they'll suit these paints better than some of the bits I already have.
Of the 30 or so I've done probably only 2 or 3 might be 'complete'...but I really need to wait and see...
Yep, X-02 was the first flying prototype...X-01 was a static.
X-02 flew as OK-32....then OK-180 and finally as 3902 in the Czech AF.
That'll give me more things to search with for images...
