    .. but since there's already paints out there, I can't alter it anymore.
    Yes indeed.. damned if you do, damned if you don't. I wasn't finger-wagging here btw

    Bjoern.. there was a 'little' exhaust smoke on the original if I remember right. The only smoke we have now is with the 'I' key and off the LH wingtip. Would it be a difficult job to get the wee bit of exhaust smoke back? No problem if it is. More than happy to live with her clean

    Good heavens no....I'd be lost if the mapping changed....

    I never added smoke. And no, no more smoke ever.

    Link, as usual:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6K...ew?usp=sharing

    ****, blah, blah, yadda, yadda...

    (I've also converted all remaining textures into .dds format. Download size: 63 -> 56 MB.)

    Ona more general note:
    The only request I'll gladly fulfill is a link to the most recent model source files and brushing off any inquiries about what to do with them!

    Got the new ver, thanks, Bjoern...

    One thing I've since noticed....not sure if it's me or something weird but looks like a landing would be 'interesting' to quote from Firefly ....

    Well, having the nose wheel react to lateral velocity is intended and good...but not in the air.

    Manual fix. In panel\l39set\L39parts.xml, replace:
    Code:
    (A:ROTATION VELOCITY BODY Y, feet/second) /-/ 60 * 50 + (>L:noseangle, enum)
    with
    Code:
    (A:SIM ON GROUND,bool)
    if{ (A:ROTATION VELOCITY BODY Y, feet/second) /-/ 60 * 50 + (>L:noseangle, enum) }
    els{ (L:noseangle, enum) 50 != if{ 50 (>L:noseangle, enum) } }
    Or redownload the whole shaboodle and only replace L39parts.xml. Or reinstall everything. Or throw your computer out the window. Or...

    I don't know, I threw my computer out the window per Bjoern's suggestion. But seriously, yes...the fix is included in the full download.

    OK...just so I don't get all FUBAR.... do I need to open the window first....and what if the computer is too big?

    I can see a need for more pages in the ****....

  19. #244

    You don't, if you put enough effort into the throw.

    Ah, but there-in lies the problem...
    This is a new computer....it's a Thermaltake Level 10 Limited edition....and the case alone weighs 50lb ...and that's without a PSU....so the whole critter weighs as much as a small planet....

    The F-4 had the aerodynamics of a brick, yet that didn't stop it from going mach 2+. So get a pair of J79s and get it done!

    By the way: I always thought your USAF skins on a czech trainer in private hands were a neat, fictituous idea, but there really seem to be people out there who have their L-39s in US military markings...

    Why most of these markings are USN is, however, a total mystery to me.
