You might want to use the FSX Blue Angels Hornet instead. It's essentially an entirely new aircraft, only relying on the FSX Acceleration Hornet gauge for the MFDs. It has updated flight dynamics, FCS, visual model and more. You can get the most recent version here: http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/ind....html#msg87630.

The Sludge Hornet uses the virtual cockpit of the default Hornet, which is incomplete but quite good-looking, and usable.

The Blue Angels Hornet uses a completely new virtual cockpit, and tries to simulate a much more realistic behavior, if I understood correctly. However, I tested it many months ago and the virtual cockpit was still lacking a lot of basic controls, making it less enjoyable than the Sludge Hornet. I haven't downloaded any newer version since then. How is the situation nowadays ?

I have tried the latest downloadable version and I think it is great, I can really recommend trying it again.

I wish somebody could get a hold of Sludge, and get him to upload the newest version again,it's a shame to let this awesome plane go to waste, but it's understandable if the guy is busy in RL.

Really the way forward is the FSXBA model based off the Combat Pilot version. All the scale and animation issues are gone from the FSX-A model, which the Sludge mods are based. On that note, how about a working payware A2G radar for your Hornet:

Have upgraded to that one from the Sludge but got to say that all the auto trimming stuff is pretty weird and wonderful - a whole different experience and way of flying.
Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

Nobody has tried to get Tacpack working on this bird? it would be impressive...

Wow, the FSXBA model is nice. Ironic that it doesn't actually have Blue Angels markings in the linked download...

Edit: Oh, it's available as a separate download. Nice.

It is in work, current form is set up for guns only, but TP integration is limited.

    Baseline models:

    Current 15.2 update:

Recommended to read the entire thread, "jimi08" is the lead. In the above downloads, the 2 seater is not completely working, so fly the singles.

Kind of a one stop shop thread for some continued development of the CaptainSim (CS) Delta, so these textures are workable on the stock FSX-A Hornet:

    DUSTOFF/ARMY PROPS
