    The Kings Cup post WW2 is a short circuit handicap race, but pre-WW2 it was I believe a two day event, the first day being about 1100 miles requiring navigation 1930's style, I think following that elimination there was a short circuit race on the second day.

    I took part as 'navigator/ballast' with my father in his Proctor in the late 50's for the elimination events as well as some Kings cup races. Usually about 4 circuits of a rectangular course for about 30 mins flat out!
