Crossing the Channel into France
Let Being Helpful Be More Important Than Being Right.
Landed at Paris for the first leg. A little foggy but no major problems finding the airfield. Now to refuel and prepare for the next leg.

Next stop Marseilles LFML
Let Being Helpful Be More Important Than Being Right.
Made it to LFML Marseille. Set the Duenna up for auto pickup and thought I was good to go. Landed at LFML and it never showed to drop the baton in the sim. Checked the duenna and it was still set to autopickup, but never did. So here's what I got:
Flight Analysis
Duenna (what there is of it)
Kneeboard Flight Plan (showing completion)
Part A
Part B
And I'm attaching the Duenna System Log.
Now what do we do and how much sweet talk does Miss Nellie need to hear to allow the flight?
Okay, I was told this was okay this time but to not let it happen again.

Please proceed. Things look good with the backup Flight Analysis screen. We shall take this documentation up the circular staircase to Miss Nellie.

Take care Willy! Its a hazardous aircraft you're flying so be careful.
Huub
Thanks Huub! Not as dangerous as that R-1 & R-2 though

Getting ready to head on to Rome from Marseilles, talking off in a thunderstorm. Sometimes, you just gotta take the weather you get...

Heading out to Rome.. hope this holds enough gas to make it

blew the engine, trying to make it back to LFML
Let Being Helpful Be More Important Than Being Right.
Engine died a mile or so short of the runway so I had to dead stick it into a field.... Bits and pieces flew everywhere. But I got a green duenna

Think I'm going to call it a night here and fly on to Rome in the morning... It just seems safer somehow.

Finally got out of that thunderstorm over southern France.. coming up on Corsica, but I'll be just passing through...

Made it to Rome (LIRU). Ran into another thunderstorm just as I got to the Italian coast. Darn clouds are killing my framerates. But other than that, no problems getting there.

I'm glad you made it! You can't say I didn't warn you about the bad behaviour of your aircraft
Cheers,
Huub
I think that tree behind it that I clipped the top of with the wheels had a bit to do with the losing of the wheels and fire. There were bits flying everywhere when I went through that treetop. As for the engine, that was my fault. Was watching other things and not paying attention to the RPM and overspeeded it (again). Actually the main vice I've found for the Wozza Gee Bee has been mostly landing it. It will get a bit squirrelly on take off if you're not careful and it's best to keep your airspeed up for landing. Stall is around 70ish kias, but trying to land that slow is almost a death wish. I try to land about 90 to 100kias. It'll bounce around for a while and you'll need plenty of runway to get it slowed down. But it's working for me.
BTW, with the engine dead, it doesn't glide for beans. You are coming down very quickly and you'd best be picking a spot. With the engine cutting in and out, you have a bit more time, but you're still going to be losing altitude and speed. You just have more time to pick your spot.

Getting ready to head out from Rome to Athens. Depending on how my fuel situation looks when I get to Brindisi.
Let Being Helpful Be More Important Than Being Right.
Had to abort due to r/l issues. Hopefully I can pick this back up tomorrow.

Going to try this again...
Let Being Helpful Be More Important Than Being Right.
Just made the turn to Brindisi and picked up the NDB. Might have to stop there to refuel. Going straight to Athens is looking less and less doable.
Let Being Helpful Be More Important Than Being Right.
Took the safe way out and landed at Brindisi (LIBR) to gas up. Landing was a little rough, but nothing major was broke.
