Thread: Fokker/Fairchild 27 FSX native

  1. #76
Ah, just realized that the compatibility image file is for Bernie's FS9 model (which already has the separate NLG doors) and not Mike's.

The regular paintkit has a layer for the doors, so just use that one.

The next update is almost done.

One of the, if not the highlight might be the option to cover up all windows on all models:

This also enables people to use liveries with painted-on windows.

(Still not a chance for a full blown cargo model or the stupid military versions, so don't even ask.)

Ugh, If I only had the skills to do a proper Piedmont paint for the Fairchild versions, good job Bjoern, better & better

    New revision online.

    Highlights:
No more 2D panel, click sounds for all switches, option to plug up the cabin windows, rearranged upper overhead.
As well as a lot of other, smaller things. (Check the changelog in the readme.)

    Link, as usual:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6K...it?usp=sharing

    Upgrade:
Delete all three Fokker/Fairchild aircraft folders from "SimObjects" (back up any additional repaints and the sound folder first), install as per the readme, then reinstall additional repaints and the soundset.

    NOTAMS:
    CTRL+E won't work anymore!

    Smallish update.

Fixed weather radar, added the 2048px paintkit and VIP paint by TuFun.

    Link, as usual:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6K...ew?usp=sharing

    Upgrade:
Replace weather_radar.cab, add texture.VIP to F27_Native and replace the aircraft.cfg there or add the entry yourself

  6. #81
    Update:
Fixed a very small visual glitch (controller cube visible after MLG retraction), new AP vertical behaviour*, VC glass should be a bit more transparent now, added strobe lights

    Link, as usual:
    https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6...OU0&authuser=0

    Affected files:
All .mdl files, all aircraft.cfg files, Glass_VC.dds.

*ALTITUDE mode will hold the current altitude. Climbing/sinking: Choose destination alt w/ alt selector (glareshield), then use the control wheel (AP panel) to select climb/sink rate. Don't care if that's realistic or not, but it should improve things for hand fliers as well.

In case you didn't know yet, I've done a paint pack with a few paints. See here:
    http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...kkers&p=943382

    Download link:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6K...ew?usp=sharing

Here's also a minor update for the base pack. You don't have to get it if you don't need very slight reflections on the exterior model. It might be of more interest to painters who want to put the (painted on) cargo door to use.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6K...ew?usp=sharing

    Upgrade:
    Replace any .mdl files.

Hey Bjoern - how about this one? The company was 'Wien Air Alaska' - disregard the watermark

No F27 operator from the 80s.

Interestingly enough, Wien had 227s in the 70s...but sold them off before 1980.

  10. #85
They called it an F27-B and had a simulator agreement with Piedmont.

  11. #86
Makes sense as PDT stayed in the 227 game long enough. I wonder what Wien did after PDT got rid of their fleet. And where Whistle Pig pilots in the 80s (e.g. at Britt or Air New England) were trained...

Someone has the paint kit in PSD or in high definition, I created various textures of Aerocaribe, Aerocozumel, Noreste by TAESA, Mexico Navy but i need a paint kit improved?

  13. #88
The paintkits included in the model download is all there is.

    Hi all
Is the cargo door functional on all models or one specific? I can find the boxes on the cockpit sides but nothing happens when pressed and the icon remains "cargo door - closed"
Bjoern - thanks for another great airplane - aside from a small problem with start-up (which may be me) the machine seems to function well in Prepar3D v3.4 - not sure about the 64 bit to be released.
    I appreciate the help.

No cargo doors and - just to set it straight from the start - no intention to ever model them.

    Hi Bjoern
You read my mind. I noticed a reference in the manual to opening the cargo door - hence my question.
    Thanks
    Warren
