RIP Louie. You've fought the good battle throughout your whole life. From running in the 36' Olympics to enduring great suffering by the hands of sadistic Japanese guards (one in particular) as a POW during WWII. He life was a battle of endurance and redemption at times. One thing he never did,....'give up!'
If you haven't read the book "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand,....do it. Beautifully crafted telling of Louie's life as a troubled teenager to seeking the Lord after WWII.
A feature movie is in the works about Louie Z. Suppose to come out this Fall. I hope they haven't "Hollywooded" it too much. I'm sure they will anyway.
