    Hi Friends,
While we are finishing the C.R.D.A. Cant.Z 1007 Bis package (FSAviator, after his trouble with his PC, is completing the manuals and history files), I started a new project : the C.R.D.A. Cant.Z 506 B "Airone" (Heron), the military version of C.R.D.A. Cant.Z 506 A&C I made in the past. The plane is a GMax completely new model.

That's for sure - the 506_Civile is an all-time favourite in my FSClassic install, especially the one registered I-DITO. It's so handy to have a registration which is an anagram of how you look when you make a mess of a landing

    Nice!

I've learnt more about Italian WW2 aircraft through the works of people like Manuele, than any books I've read!

    Hi Hurricane,
The '506C was the second plane I made (after the DFS230) during July 2007, I used some parts (floats, nacelles and some other small details) from the source VB '506B GMax model I received from my friends of ITALIANWINGS, I remodelled the wings and the whole tail making also a completely new fuselage. It had no VC and, unfortunately, I found NO documentation about the '506C original cockpit and this excludes a "V2" version (with VC) of this elegant plane...
In the actual '506B model I used (partially) ONLY the floats from the original VB model, all the plane is completely new and based on original CRDA's drawings and original R.A.(Regia Aeronautica/Royal Italian Air Force) user's manuals and parts catalogues. The "tandem" seats, a typical choice of Filippo Zappata, are indeed very similar to the 1007's ones.

    Hello Manuele,
Thank you for your comments on the 506C. Perhaps adequate documentation will emerge someday. Your new 506B looks superb and will be great fun to fly.

Excellent work, Manuele. It looks like a Cant Z.1007 ("Beast") on floats. I'll bet the real plane was a handful!
