    Hi Good People,

It's time to release the GJSmith.net's packaged version of the excellent Milton Shupe and Team's Fleet Freighter 50K aircraft.

I have set the download of the aircraft to be three independent aircraft - Floats, Tundra (Wheels) and Skis

Also - between Milton and I we create a new 2d Pane for this aircraft.

Now for the good bits - a small bucket of 12 repaints are available as well which will work with any of the models - so you can put them into one or scatter them over the three different models and they will all work fine.

Additional good bit - each model download includes my master blanks for the models so that simmers out there can start pumping out some of their own creations.

Now for a good Aussie saying - "Where do ya get it" - of course at my home site http://www.gjsmith.net - check the Catalogue Page.
or if you want the direct link: http://www.gjsmith.net/Textures/Fleet50K.htm (if you take the shortcut then don't forget to look around at all of the other free stuff available on my site)

And of course the entire set is also available via the Ford Project Site - http://www.ford-tri-motor.net - Check out the Other Aircraft Page

More about the Ford stuff in another post coming soon.

Remember to have fun with this aircraft - both flying and repainting - look forward to seeing some other repaints by other artists for this girl.

    Regards and happy simming.

    Hi Good People,

Appreciate your "Thank you's" - lot of slogging in the background by Miltion firstly for the clever models and his team for the other magics - and finally - lots of fun and tinkering by me to get this girl dressed up in a couple of styles.

No doubt Edward will get a few more Ford Project liveries done for her and I will probably have a few more tinkers so keep your eye on the project.

Regards and thanks again - hope you enjoy the Fleet Freighter.

Thanks again. Just to confirm... we gotta make our own configs for the new textures? Not a problem at all.

Also, Forgive my little confusion, I have the 3x new Fleets, but then I found an older download. I think I'm confusing myself here. I'll delete the older fleets because I'm sure they are beta versions & install the 3x new ones.

Hehee, I also must prune all my download folders of duplicate stuff as well.

    Hi mate,

Yep - build your config for each one - simple reason - any of the textures can be used in any of the models - so you can mix and match to your hearts content.

The aircraft models come with one entry - the Paint Kit (Blank) - so you have something to copy/past for each of them to build your config to suit your needs.

The Fleet girls released on my site are the very latest - just released by Milton and his Team - so any others will be definately older stuff and basically obsolete.

    Regards and happy simming.

Hi, Thanks for the heads up on the F13 Floats girl on the Ford Tri-Motor Project site - fixed and updated

As for some repaints on the Fleet girl - Edward has some already in mind for the aircraft for use in the Ford Project - but focus will be on the India Project - from Egypt to Australia

There is a good paint kit that accompanies the aircraft - why not have a tinker and create one of your desired liveries and share it with us all - the more repaints by others the merrier we will all be.

Make sure you test them out in the Cape Town Scenery Pack that is available at the www.Ford-Tri-Motor.net site - monster set of scenery

Did you guys know that there is a Fleet 50 Freighter in storage in a Canadian museum? http://casmuseum.techno-science.ca/e...-freighter.php
Do not fear the enemy, for they can take only your life. Fear the media far more, for they will destroy your honour.

    Hey Garry,

When I drop in a fresh install of the tundra version, my 2d panel is a bit scrambled. Any ideas? It looks like the last beta setup I had but I removed that from my drive.

    Thanks!

That looks like the old original WIP release cfg you are using.

    Try this panel.cfg.

Yes, I did. That would be this one I think.

******** did this paint of the original livery but it has not been released.

I was holding this one for the Wright and PW985 versions to be released ... sometime. :-)

OK found the culprit - old panel.cfg file somehow in the download zip - have corrected that for the Tundra - and for safety sake also dropped the new in in the other two models as well - all have been updated and now on my server.

And just to be safe I have updated the same zips on the Ford Tri-Motor Project site :-)

Regards to all - thanks for the heads up..... only through feedback do we know that something has gone wrong - so thanks for the heads up.
