    Akemi E13al-n problem

    The E13al-n Jake is a seaplane. Instead of taking off from the water, it jumps into the air. The other akemi seaplanes do not have this problem. The jake is different in that it has two large pontoons instead of the standard three. I can get it to work if I use the Alpha Aroda aircraft file and change the DP file category to 10. However, this doesn"t appear right when the plane is in the water. Does anyone have a solution?

    I think it has landing gear. I'll open the cfg and get back to you.

    May have fixed it but let me know

    there was a scrape point that was acting like the gear was down.

    Either replace the current cfg with the one in the attachment or replace the contact points with these.

    [contact_points]
    static_pitch = 3
    static_cg_height = 7.421
    tailwheel_lock = 0
    gear_system_type = 4
    max_number_of_points = 8
    point.0 = 4, 8.2,5.33, -8.39, 1600, 0, 0.33,180.0, 0.40, 2.5, 0.40, 0, 0, 4, 0, 0
    point.1 = 4, 8.2,-5.33, -8.39, 2200, 0, 1.00, 0.0, 0.70, 2.5, 0.80, 0, 0, 2, 0, 0
    point.2 = 4, -2.02,5.33, -7.404, 2200, 0, 1.00, 0.0, 0.70, 2.5, 0.80, 0, 0, 3, 0, 0
    point.3 = 4, -2.02,-5.33, -7.404, 1600, 0, 0.33,180.0, 0.40, 2.5, 0.40, 0, 0, 4, 0, 0
    point.4 = 2, 0.00,-23.78,0.00, 2200, 0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0, 5
    point.5 = 2, 0.00, 23.78,0.00, 2200, 0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0, 6
    point.6 = 2, -24.67, 0.00, 0.00, 2400, 0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0, 9
    point.7 = 2, 10.39, 0, 0, 2200, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 8, 0, 0

    If you still have trouble let me know. I have not flown it yet so Please let me know either way.

    Update...

    Hey Braveheart,

    I just finish flying the plane. After fixing the CFG, she took off and landed fine. I will say that the AIR file and CFG still need work. She is very unstable, bouncing around like an 18 year old girl thats had WAY too much caffeine. Or in my case a 14 year old daughter thats driving me crazy. To say the least it needs work. I'm not sure if Morton has worked on this one or not. I'd look for an update. Also she could use a new panel.

    Outside of that she landed and floated.

    Till Later,
    John
