Vladimir Zhyhulskiy strikes again, its not final version with few small glitches, but its highly flyable with enjoyable VC and all the nice gadgets Vladimir likes to add to his planes, just change smoke effects and add proper sounds.

Thanks for the heads up Kikas... The only heavy Russian bird I have besides Vlad's An12BK is the Tu-95/142 "Bear". What a BEAST that plane looks to be.

You should try Samdim's Tu114 airliner/ Tu126 Moss AWACS combination too

    Il76 problems

Hello all dont know if anybody has been having this problem but when loading the aircraft it crashes to desktop I have been able to temporarily solve this issue by removing the Il76.radio.gau and by removing this file the plane loads nicely.

Dont know if anybody else has this problem or what causes it would be interesting to hear if others have had or even not had this problem

    Happy flying

I flew the acft today, very well done with all of the crew, it has contrails from the time you take off, I hit I hoping that would turn them off instead I starting airdropping cargo, a very nice affect.

By default, jets have automatic contrails at -20°C and below. Adding the max_contrail_temperature= line to the GeneralEngineData section of any other plane will enable them at whatever temp you specify, and adding the line to a jet will let you modify the default temp on the jet as well. Check for that line and see what the temp is set to. I have a sneaking suspicion that the minus sign was omitted by mistake.

1 - open the front door - the key EXIT 1
2 - open the caps vneshnik engines - key EXIT 2
3 - turn on / off parking equipment and technology - key CTRL + F
4 - open and ramp gruzolyuka key TAILHOOK ( if not assigned - designate )
5 - animated cargo key WINGFOLDING ( if not assigned - designate )
6 - turn on / off the pilots, including those in the VC - key WATERRUDDER ( if not assigned -

Animation keys for the IL- 78M :
In substantially the same manner - the difference in the two keys :

    gauge and contrails

the radio gauge will be located in the flightsim gauge folder. Thanks for the info on the contrails, one thing I do like is how long the contrails are, that would look really good on a b-52 or kc-135.

    There is no auto installer.

I wish there was an English Manual for this plane... the PDF is in Russian and I can't figure out how to get all the warning lights to go off. Most of the switches on the electrical panel are not labeled, even if I turn on the tool tips.... just a handful. It's a beautiful visual model and it handles like a big heavy jet should.

Loaded it up and checked it out. There's a few animation boo boos. the engine fans spin backwards. So too the left main and nose wheels rotate backwards. The right main wheels spin correctly! Other than those few problems, it seems nice. The "contrails" appear to be an exhaust effect. they disappear when you throttle back. But they tend to make parts of the aircraft disappear.

Yes .. certainly the textures are missing
This can also lead to weird results .. as the plane texture who dissapear
completely .. no possible to select another plane .. sim freeze ... the sim stay running (process) after the closing of FS2004 ... etc
so better to disable this effect or replace it by an other
About the russian instruction the straight way is to select text in the PDF or DOC and paste it in Google translator ...
This not perfect but better than nothing !

As i mentioned one has to simply change to another smoke effect and those nasty contrails are gone

After installing the aircraft and figuring out how to manually fire up the engines from a cold, dark cockpit, I've come to the conclusion the elimination of the radio gauge may have also eliminated the autopilot function. I sat for the better part of two hours trying, after engine start, every possible switch combination in the FE's panel, plus the others, to try to get this function to work but it's no go.

Still tinkering with getting the autopilot to function. I still am unable to get the autopilot to engage using either the switch on the dedicated autopilot panel, or the section of the "N" for Navigation panel that has a rudimentary autopilot on it. This rudimentary autopilot consists of the digital altitude and ROC/ROD, along with a series of lit buttons below it. Today I discovered something unusual about this box. One can activate the "HDG," "APR," and other functions, including the "ALT" button. The AP on-off switch still refuses to activate. What's more, pressing any of the above-named buttons results not only in the buttons becoming lit, but also in all ground equipment, intake plugs, etc appearing. These will disappear as advertised by pressing Ctrl-F.

i've also discovered I am not having any difficulties, so far, by allowing the aircraft's radio gauge to function as originally intended.

Some parts of this panel are intensely frustrating. How do we contact Mr Z. to report this, or at least request a guide of some sort?

For clear glass in FSX change the alpha channel in each zh76_zMASK.bmp file to black (0,0,0) and save as DXT3
