    Race Gauges

I seem to remember a gauge set, either made from scratch by individuals or a set made strictly for the RTWR that included a gauge that gave fuel specific info. Distance to Dest., available fuel, reserve fuel, etc. Anyone remember that or know where to find it? Thanks!

Are you thinking of the RKG Fuel Gauge? The one with the digital read-out?

As far as I know that only works in FS2004 and earlier. I don't know of a good one for FSX but we need one.

I thought I had one for FSX but can't find it. However, AFSD by Herve Sors is still one of the best tools. takes hardly any resources, is stand-alone and provide a ton of info - on the Fuel page it shows Fuel On Board, Burn, Air Range and True Range (ie. with and without wind) all calculated in real time. Also shows F/A ratio and your mixture lever setting (%) should you want or need to run manual mixture. Units in USGal, Lb, Kg.

I can't run a race leg without it most times

Team SOH members check in the 'Hideout' for some relevant info.

Ed, you should still have access to the 'Hideout' from last year but shout if you can't get in.

Here's the RKG Fuel Stat gauge. It does work fine in FSX too.

If you're running IE 11, when you download this, you will get a file called "attachment.php" Just rename the ".php" part to ".zip" and unzip. Looks like a minor bug of some sort...

I have Georg Aubele's Flight Information Display gauge installed in all my RTWR aircraft (and most of the other planes).
You certainly have it listed in the hideout as well.

It has plenty of useful information for the RTWR, including, among other,
fuel (remaining, used, time to empty, range to empty),
speed (IAS, GS, and stall speeds as a reminder),
    wind gauge,
a page which allows to set com/nav frequencies
and a very useful TOC/BOD prediction.

I've also attached a modified version where I've added some stuff, mainly Vne/Mmo limitations as a reminder against overspeed. (Modifications thankfully allowed by Georg.)
