    Russian Kirov-Class battlecruiser

    Hello everyone,

i was searching the web for an Kirov-Class battlecruiser project 1144 "Orlan" for the FSX. It is the biggest over sea ship after the aircraft carriers. Maybe someone does know if there has been made one? Or there is someone who has the ability and has lust just to make it?

I'm sure there was a Kirov-class cruiser for FS9, but a search of the major sites turns up nothing. Off topic a little - I wonder why they were called 'battlecruisers' ? They bear no relation to the original design and role of the battlecruiser.

There a very lethal vessel. One these can take out a carrier task force easily. You think the Chinese are clever, well they learned from the master's of ship killing the Russian's. Think of this class of Russian ship as the modern Battleship equipped with the most advanced and modern compartment of missile's, air/land and sea. It even has it's own ASW force and killer's. I had the pleasure of watching one lurking around Cuba. they are massive and and imo Russia's most majestic vessel of the line.

Yes they are lethal and large, I just wonder why they are called 'battlecruisers'. Battlecruisers were a specific type of warship, originally with a defined role that governed and constrained their designs. The Kirov-class vessel simply isn't a 'battlecruiser' by the proper definition of the word - it seems to just be a term thats been applied to them without any thought. And they certainly aren't ships 'of the line' either, CG...the gunnery line of battle went out of naval tactics at the same time as the big guns.

    Hey man, thats it!!!

She only needs a bit rust, salt, dirt, a number on the bow and maybe the two flags.

Where did you get it from, or did you do her by your own?
