    New airfields wip

I was going to take a break from modding cfs3 to build a model railway in our spare room but the bug just won't stop biting!

3 airfields that have been in the works for a while, RAF Detling is finished, RAF Eastchurch and Shoreham are wip. These will be finished after the Hampden's released.

    Shoreham

    Eastchurch

    Detling

    Those look fantastic, Clive!!

Every field has something special but I really like the elaborate controltower building of Shoreham!

    Great work Clive!

Great progress! Thanks, Clive! More lovingly created facilities to add realism to the theatre.

That was (is still) a right pain in the wotsit to model, one of those I wish I'd never started.
Tis a lovely old building though.

I knew you wouldn't last too long Clive. If you think about it, it's kind of the same bug, just a different medium. And this one is free! The new airfields look great! Could you repost the Detling pic, it isn't showing for me for some reason.

Yeah, Detling.... Uniquely excellent and most interesting from a distance!

What years during WWII was it most active and what sort of a/c did it host?

It was active right through Pops and took a big part in the Battle of Britain, getting a lot of attention from the LW.

    There's a list of a/c types here:
