Great work Mathias. Getting it will be first order of business after Christmas. Meanwhile back to the festivities; mince pies to make and much other stuff....!

    Happy Christmas everybody!!

edit: back from the Rob, and trying a new install, I get this message:

could this be the problem? Installing again over the previous one still gives this message.
Oh, and I'm installing the english version
Jan, I'm shooting somewhat into the dark but chance is that the download is corrupted and you need to redownload the entire installer.
Check the filesize of the exe, should be 400.211.736 Bytes or 381MB.
Other than that, do a complete uninstall using the start menu shortcut.

downloaded again, this time a succesful install (no error messages), I start flight with another aircraft, when I choose the TA152...CTD.

I start FSX, select FW190-D...FSX stops working.
I see an interesting challenge developing here, back to xmas prepping for now...
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.

BTW, for those interested in historical accuracy.
Just checked back with Alessandro and he told me he will provide some tail fin texture updates sometime today or tomorrow at http://www.italianwings.it/
depending on how his christmas family things are going.
Thanks to everyone and a merry Christmas!

Great! As for the paintkit, is it possible to include weathering, exhaust stains and a layered camo scheme? This will make for a very good start for us repainters! Thank you

    Best regards

There is a hotfix available that fixes crash to desktop issues that some users experienced and also adresses certain issues found with the payload manager interface.
    This hotfix is mandatory.
Also the Paint Kit is now available.

    Click on "Start/All Programs/Classics Hangar/Fw190D - Ta152/ Search for Updates"

I love the sound of this baby as well, very loud and rough, as if it ran out of oil, wonderful

    Jens-Ole,

I just had a quick look at the paintkit, but it contains several layers with basic weathering.

    Cheers,

    Hello Mathias,<o></o>
    <o></o>
It really is a beautiful plane, and one of my favourites. Thank you so much for all your work! I have one question. Since there does not seem to be a rudder trim (am I correct? I only flew the D-9 so far) and the brakes are very weak, I have great difficulty controlling the aircraft during take-off. I have to be more careful with the throttle than in an Me-262 until I can lift the tail and the rudder is in the airstream. Were the brakes really that weak?

Work of art! Thank you! I particular like "White 11", really shows how modular (or Frankenstein) the Dora was with Anton fuselage, prefabricated and painted engine compartment and maybe a random wing set.. Really strange that this bastard looks so good!

    Best regards

    Hey stickshaker,

don't go higher than 3000rpm initially until you gain rudder authority at about 120 kph and use differential brakes.
Again, go higher than 3000 rpm and you'll get kicked off the runway.
