    General questions about P3DV2.......

I avoid using my keyboard, unless absolutely necessary. If I could, I would assign EVERY control command to my joystick or throttle.

Is it possible to assign "Pause" to a joystick?

What do you use, assignment wise, for Reverse Thrust? Seems like I recall using the command for F2, but can't remember.

In FSX, I was able to use my joystick to move around in SLEW command, but I cannot remember how to assign it now!

Will gliders work in P3DV2? I don't recall seeing a glider in the aircraft list.

Prepar3DV2 is amazing! I am anxious to install both Javier's and SDB's aircraft carriers, plus AICarriers.

Early on, there were posts about problems with Jim D's sceneries. Have people had better luck with them?

Will addons like AccuFeel work in V2?

I know I have asked a lot of questions. If you can help, I appreciate it! Navy Chief

If the Pause command is in the 'Buttons' list, then you can. Just select the command (Pause) in the Buttons list in Options/Settings/Controls/Buttons, click Add, and blip the button of your choice on the joystick to lock it in.

F2, long-press. Birp the throttle to unlock RT.

Y key turns on Slew. Just add a control to the Y key 'Slew command' in Options/Settings/Controls/Buttons and blip the button on the joystick that you want to operate Slew with.

Yep. I brought over the FSX Glider, works great in V2.

I would email them and ask if they have tried it yet, if they advise installing it now.

There is a post on this already here in the P3D room.

    Keyboards

What I did was to take another USB keyboard & re-map & re-group keys using FSUIPC I then labeled the keys in colours according to functions. I found it usefull to have the keyboard verticle as well. I made a stand to hold the keyboard upright.

...by the way, Javier's Nimitz works wonderfully in P3Dv2 (albeit it seems to have lost is wake in my installation).

AICarriers 2 also works fine - I was not able to add it to the applications launched automatically by P3Dv2, but if you launch it separately (that is you manually click on the .exe while P3Dv2 is running) it works great.

Thanks, Dino for that, & your aircraft. You really have helped to make the sim really outstanding.

Smart... So you have two keyboards plugged in? The computer can do this?

Cool. I had hoped we would have built in AI carriers with 2.0. Perhaps in the next version.
