    OUT OF AFRICA

    A Great 1985 movie...The Plane in it was the De Haviland DH60X,Gypsy Moth.AKA Tiger Moth. G-AAMY....It had great Flying Scenes.Vin<label for="rb_iconid_24"></label>

    Actually the Gypsy Moth was a DH 60 and the Tiger Moth was a DH 82. Two different aircraft with a common lineage. I believe the DH 82 had a different engine too. But there are more knowledgeable members who could correct me.
    Still it is a great film Beana51

    Thanx Micky D,you may be correct,I do not know much of this plane..Except for the Bill Lyons Model..I made a simple inquiry and got this.Not Knowing any better I Used it..Should you Have other info? Why I would Greatly Appreciated...Thanx..Vin

    The Gypsy Moth and Tiger Moth are absolutely different aircraft... same company, similar origins as said, but different aircraft in many and most regards. Certainly not alternate names for each other. That website seems to be a generic 'idiots guide to' things.. don't expect deep aviation knowledge.

    Just Beautiful Micky D...NICE JOB...Learned to like these planes with the Bill Lyons "CLASSIC TIGER MOTH" in FS9..That one was the Tiger Moth DH82a as he called it...If You Look for it ,was called "cctiger4"...Have Fun my friend..Vin.
