    Backup

Having had two hard drives fail in quick succession recently, I have become somewhat paranoid about backup, particularly of my photos ( about 50Gb worth ).

I used to write everything to CD/DVD, but one of those became unreadable too for no apparent reason.

I bought a small 64 gig flash drive, which hangs around my neck (!) but realise that can potentially have problems as well.

What do all you guys do to feel secure about your precious pics ? I would love to hear your views on this...

    1) Keep the negatives :mixedsmi:
2)DVD & External Hard Drive seems to work best for the digital stuff that you really want.

One main drive to hold and run all my raw files and lightroom settings. One second internal drive for backup, as well as one external drive too.

I may even make another copy and take it down to my Dads place. It'd be nice to have an off-site solution.
