    Hey Pete,

What do you use for water textures and other liquidness? what does your lakes and tropicals look like? you seem to have hit the spot for oceans.

OO, now you're asking... I've modded and tweeked so much I've lost track of what I have and haven't done, but basically I started with
the most recent sets by Bill Lyons and separately Peter Wilding (all available at Flightsim.com in misc. section) , then added different env maps until I found one that I liked, and same for the OceanHeightField.bmp (which gives you the waves motion); all a bit of trial and experimentation really. The main thing to note is what looks good on my system won't necessarily look same on yours, different graphics cards process differently, as do the monitor/screen display them.

    Milton --

This poor plane looks rode hard and put away wet...

Maybe you should give that ol' bird a BATH! Oh... wait a minute, cant do that. The rest of the paint would come RIGHT off!

I like that 685. Make a nice complement to other turboprops.. the 680, Pilatus Porter, King Air C90B, S2 Turbo, AT-6 Texan, Pilatus PC-12 and PC-9... etc.

LOL My AC500B Hangar Queen cargo hauler; she's a fav of mine. Andre Folkers did the paint scheme on this one.

Actually, the 680S is a gas engine that we produced, and teh 685 is the last of the gasoline engined series; I think you mean the 690 and above series that were all turboprops.

Yeah... you're right, Chief. Just took the 680 up for a jaunt from Innisfail to Townsville. Once I got into the cockpit, I knew she was a piston engine bird, but I flew it anyway. These classics are still very enjoyable tho, lots of hours in all of them.

At least the ol' 580 still starts up easy enough, and the panel has just enough working instruments left to get you where you need to go.

Actually I was referencing your pics of the 500, "Hangar Queen"... I'll get it right one of these times.

Those pics of the D-18S really bring back some memories. I have her installed with some really nice repaints, and she still gets plenty of air time. Right along side the A-28/38 Grizzly... "Bad 'ol Bear!"
