"Everyday picture?" You are showing your age Shessi. BEA disappeared already 40 years ago!

    Cheers,

NAMC YS-11 British European Airways - uploaded

Right, I've tweaked and polished her as much as I dare. Just uploaded her to SOH, she should hopefully be available soon.

    Oops

JD Tindalls....MDl conversions and general tweakings above and beyond the call.
Morton.........Beautiful Skins to match her beautiful lines.
Kelticheart....Exhaust effects and new prop textures to spin your minds eye.
Lobo...........for a panel to fly the heavens by.
Buddha13.......For my humble contributions of sorting out the VC and dp.
Onnogras for all the help he gave.

Out of all the airplanes i have picked up for my collection over the years....the MAAM DC-3 is still one of my favorites!!!!

"Thats some of the best flying I have ever seen, upto the point that your dead, Never ever leave your wingman!"......Jester, Top Gun

I was thinking about this, I don't think you can separate this from a conversation about the Douglas DC-3 without bringing the Curtiss C-46 into the discussion. The CW-20 was actually a more advanced plane then the Douglas machine, but it was the numbers built in World War II, that put so many surplus DC-3 on the market that the Curtiss machine became all but an after thought.

I confess, I had a senior moment here. But to my defense: I'm the one over 60 here, you and Jamie are still still youngsters compared with the average age of the Outhouse users here......

    Cheers,

Wish I could jump on one of these to France for the final day of the Ryder Cup tomorrow. Should be an exciting final day of golf - good luck to all, may the best team win!

Beautiful plane ... thanks for sharing these pics!

    .
Been a way busy week here, "All my bags are packed and I'm ready to go..." and my house is in order. Got all day tomorrow to see if this latest sky project of mine may be uploaded for any who may want to give it a go. Seriously, am knowing guys who spend far less time choosing a wife than I do creating a set of FS skies. These textures will be easy to live with for a long while, growing on you instead of growing old to you. Quite realistic... and the night sky is delicious! Love flying at night but the skies always seemed to dent the immersion. This isn't nearly as much of a factor now.

Here's several shots to give you an idea, all of them captured @ 50 miles visibility...

    A new - dawn - is coming...

    - Post dawn - Flew this gem for hours and hours testing out the transitions.

    - Post dawn - again.

    - Noon -

    ...to be continued...

Now then, for the midnight textures. Very likely different from anything you've seen to date,
and I've looked at a boatload of them over the past 15 years. Have slapped a larger, darker frame to help you view it...

A night sky you'll hopefully truly enjoy, all you fellow night flyers. Suggest- Downloading then full-screening it to really see it.

Here's a .jpg of the bitmaps, highly de-saturated overall, a real mishmash of adjusted textures. They work...

Yeah, all 10 days are the same. Gives you multiple possibilities- Uniformity - or simply get rid of 1 of the 10 texture sets
you know you can't stand anyway and fly this set once in a random while.

I second that! I'm always switching back and forth between skies to get some variety in the general atmosphere! And yours look very realistic which is what I usually go for. Thank you!
