stepping back in time.... I can almost hear the big bands!

I've always LOVED Manfred Jahn's Connie collection... in part because I LOVE Connies.. and in part because they are so much fun to fly, and look great!!

Most of my flying has been in Super G's or W-121's, but lately, have been bitten by the early JUST post war L-049's an 749's. And the simplicity of the 49 is a lot of fun..
So.. it was only a matter of time before I NEEDED to paint my own!

So, I've had this multi-layer paint kit for almost a decade... but no alpha channel... .. so............ using bits here and there from that psd kit, and a lot of messing about 'rearranging' those bits... and creating alpha channels for the big girl from scratch.. because hey.. she NEEDS to be real shiny!!......and here she is...

Fresh off the assembly line, tails already resplendent in her new TWA livery, it's of for a bit of flight test, and then back to the paint shop to finish her off.. and get her into service!

DAMN I love long legged girls!!

Thanks Mick! Today she got her stripes and logos... Still very much a work in progress, but I'm designing my paint templates so I can tweak all the bits to do a couple of schemes as TWA evolved. And on the original 49's and the later 749... although there was a 'setback' with the 749's engine bitmaps.. file was corrupt.. couldn't opern... so hafta do it again...

and I just spotted a little oopsie... LOL like I said.. work in progress!!!!

Those BoB shots of the He-111 are SPECTACULAR, Huub! You'd better get that fire out soon, lest it lights up the right wing tank and takes you down for good lol!

There is a fix for the Alpha He-111 which keeps the plane from wanting to nose over on landings. For those who have the model and are experiencing that little issue, let me know via PM and I'll dig it up from my archives for ya'.

    Hi BB686,

Despite the fact the Alphasim He111 is already over 11 years old, it is still a very nice model and most probably the best we will ever get in FS2004. Aeroplane Heaven has currently one under development for FSX/P3D which will most likely set the standard for those sims.

Thanks for your offer for the flight dynamics fix, but the fix is variable here in our library:
    http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...ile-Update-zip

And I do have it installed. When you do everything correct with the old flight model there isn't a real problem, but when you make one single mistake you nose will drop and there is no way to correct it. As I can't remember a flight without my obviously mandatory mistake, I wouldn't be able to land the He111 without this fix

Its a bit weird the fix only came after complaints in the FSX forum and 7 years (!) after the release of the model!

    Cheers,
    Huub

    Hello Borek,
Besides the Arado 234, you have a number of fascinating projects in the works. The modeling is certainly outstanding.
    Thank you for the previews.

oh thank you, glad you like the stuff
I was working on some stuff since FS98 up to FS9 days, but there was a big break then, also because of racesim related development. a few years back I came back to my loved airplanes to finish some of them, but I almost forgot all previous knowledge, so Ive decied to focus on one sim only, which currently is CFS3. still I would love to see my planes at old good FS9. and later sims

ok, two more shots, this time the Nachtigall.

note: all Arado 234 project skins are made by Bravo/4.

yum, that 162! is it a free downloadalbe Volksjager add-on?

well, I think I should post the very firts shots of the CFS3 Blitz project into FS9 converion, which I did some time ago... no animations etc..
note: the CFS3 parachute system is a standard gmax keyframe animated airbrake / spoiler, as described here, so it should work at FS9 too.
