Actually Robbie, that paint is straight out of the box by Aeroplane Heaven, pre dates the Garry and Ed Blackhawk Project by some years.

I've had this little heli for quite some time. Owen did a very nice job 'replacing' the default one (which looks HORRID!!), and I have to remember that this was back in 2005 when I first grabbed it. The BASE pack for Owens Jet Ranger III was available through a couple of rotor sites, (Eagle Rotorcraft for one) and FS.com (where I picked up the better flight handling characteristics.. new air file by David Gibson, and cfg. rework by Michal Lubiscak)

I can't get hold of Owen, and he was quite adamant back then about his base file showing up on other sites, so if I offer up this pant, and MY multi-layer paint template for this early Bell 'factory' scheme, anyone who wants the heli is going to have to go to FS.com (or other sites that have them) and download the original Owen Hewitt Bell Jet Ranger III pack, and the 'low skid' model pack by Dodosim as well. I'll include the updated cfg. and AIR file with the paint.. it makes such a difference!!

I would specify all of this in the 'read me' :-)

    cheers

No problem Robbie... its the fin and rudder that give it away, Ed and Garry's one has blue colour, whereas AH is red (goes and looks at screenshot again), incidentally Cazzie did a couple of Blackhawk paints for the early AH Grumman F3f too.

    Kittyhawk 737-800

Have had lots of fun discovering and downloading loads of liveries for this beauty. Couldn't find a Finnair livery so decided to have a go myself. Just out of the paint shed and basking in the sunshine.

I'm still using that model even though there are other 737 models out there

    Hi Darren,

Yep, I have several of the other freeware and payware 737 examples too. It's nice nice to find freeware models for FS9 of this quality even though they are years old and passed me by back when they were originally released :-)

anyone who thinks there are only 2 creators of ng 737 for this sim should look again

    kittyhawk
    tds
    posky
    pmdg

all have NG versions...which makes me wonder what to do and which to upgrade to...some i have of kityhawk some i have of posky and some are with pmdg so its a mix

  15. #2140
Why stick to just one when there are so many to choose from? Others of note IMHO are:

    TinMouse II 737-200 - superb

    iFly 737s - superb

Aerosim's Classic Liners Vol.1 - dated but still worth a look

Ariane's 737NGs - dated and costly so caution advised

Fifty North Simulations 737s - no VC but I like the models

Overland fly into the sky, Boeing edition - pretty darn good

    Level-D 767 - I know, I know, it's not a 737 but it's a classic

Yep, the Tu-95 is a BEAST... but a manageable one. Once at altitude with the proper engine conditioning and trim, the "Bear" is a very stable airplane. Just curious as to if anyone has found a way to get the props on the model to "contra-rotate"? No biggie really. Superb shot, Wombat.
