A sadly overlooked Mustang and one of my favourite FS9 aircraft.
What happened to Jesse and Sky Unlimited?

That early '51 is something! Have never seen that fs9 aircraft offering. Well-composed shot too.
That site is long gone; now part of a growing wasteland.
The Allison powered Mustangs were included in the Sky Unlimited P51 set, including the very early USAAF P51 and A36, along with the RAF Mustang Mk.1 and Mk.II.
I think (only think) Jesse might have moved on to the generic 'Gaming' world, but it has been several years since I gave up checking out the old site.
These days I still like to fly the Allison Mustangs, one of many overlooked aircraft that I keep an FS9 installation alive for.

I was at Yuma for a lot of my enlistment. Wound up being there almost 30 years, total.
I remember when the Harriers first arrived there. My father-in-law was a tech-rep on them. Well, my FUTURE father-in-law
The first Harrier squadron was the famous Blacksheep. They made a huge deal out of it, with the TV stations and various newspapers in attendance. They had Robert Conrad, and the great Pappy himself. Both of them great guys, really. I was able to sneak in and meet them both. Did you know, though, they're both short little guys??
Heck we were Phantoms when I was there. AND a squadron of A-4's. We called them Thunderchickens...
I worked for VMFAT-401 when I got out, and when they first arrived in late '86. I'm even a Plank Holder. The planes were Israeli Kfirs. Essentially, a Mirage, with a J-79 stuffed in it.
But what the Israelis REALLY brought to the States that took off like a weed were those shelters. Oh boy, what a difference those things made!
Up until then, if you touched an plane's upper surface during the day, you would get 2nd or 3rd degree burns. No question. We actually used to fry eggs on the wings to show people how hot they'rd get.
Once '401 put up the 10 shelters they brought, and the Corps saw people actually working on top of planes without thick gloves, the shelters spread like wildfire. Now, I understand they're Corps-wide. I don't know about the other services, but the Corps sure fell in love with those things!
Sorry, I ramble down memory lane sometimes...
