Not too many folks are still slapping paint on the Virtavia Rhino these days.. this paint comes much appreciated from chaps like me that still fly this oldie but goodie. So many thanks for the superb skin, Huub. And thanks for posting a bit of the history about her in the read-me too.
Oh geezz... the guy in the blue and white Piper is in for it.

Hallo,
as you will see on the screenshot the textures for the FSX C-47 V2 works also on the FS2004 C-47 version from Manfred Jahn.
Just a bit tweaking is needed

I got rid of the "looks like a fish" problem by re-vamping the textures. As far as "moves like a fish" and "steers like a cow", I can have a go with the FDE and see what turns out. I know that the "Hun" was very unforgiving to an inexperienced pilot and intolerant of any incapacity. But in the hands of a seasoned jet jockey, her performance was above and beyond any other for the time period.

The texture's in my screenie are FSX repaints by DaveQ, adapted for FS9 for my own use, easy to do, resize to 1024, flip and save in "DXT1 no alpha",
I ditch'd the original textures which really show'd the models age, which is a shame as i'd really like a good French airforce version, but i do agree with the FDE, i dont fly it much these days and is not as enjoyable as other century fighters of the era available for FS9, like the Alpha Voodoo, Thunderchief and Crusader.
cheers ian
I love the Yakolev Yak 11 as a nice alternative to the NA T-6. So I rainted it in my personal colors
I have found the update. Allright, the prop blur is allright now, but still two things still worry me: I find the plane still tricke to land without bumping up. I have spoken with french pilots of the plane and they told me that it can be landed quiet hard with out bumping. The other thing are the wrong engine datas used, I searched a bit and found datas like thos more corresponding:
[piston_engine]
power_scalar =1.00000
cylinder_displacement=179.35039
compression_ratio=6.41
number_of_cylinders=7
max_rated_rpm=2300.00000
max_rated_hp=700.00000
fuel_metering_type=0
cooling_type=0
normalized_starter_torque=0.08895
turbocharged=1
max_design_mp=49.20000
min_design_mp=0.00000
critical_altitude=15.58000
emergency_boost_type=0
emergency_boost_mp_offset=0.00000
emergency_boost_gain_offset=0.00000
fuel_air_auto_mixture=1
auto_ignition=0
max_rpm_mechanical_efficiency_scalar=1.00000
idle_rpm_mechanical_efficiency_scalar=1.00000
max_rpm_friction_scalar=1.00000
idle_rpm_friction_scalar=1.00000
emergency_boost_duration=0.00000
perhaps some one who has contact with the author can clarify that.
and here another view of "TiLoulou"
Showing its age these days but still a worthy occupant in my hanger, Alphasims old CF100, with a repaint pack by Dave King over at Avsim, if i remember right, i think this is the first Alphasim payware i ever bought----
If only Dave,......if only...............
Superb texs, they would be lucky B's to have had that as their school subject.
