    VSync + 50%VSync of fps = smoothness

    Hi,
    last time I tested this settings from Avsim Forum (idea mod).
    http://forum.avsim.net/topic/369500-...hness-in-fs9x/

    I dont like internal limiter (fps falls a lot as we know!), just I used external limiter only till now (for ATI video cards - RadeonPro: http://www.radeonpro.info/ ).
    I checked this advices from Avsim for nVidia - with VSync and 50% of FPS (so 60 VSync and 30FPS on internal limiter in my system) but for Radeon - and "eureka"! Stable 29,5 fps on each scenery (very complex too) addon with smoothing on GPU 8x16 (before I have 25-50, so nice but as always, fps are crazy, not very stable). No any stutters, stable FPS. Looks like very nice find!

    For sure I setup too:
    FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.1 and I take calculation from this topic: http://www.simforums.com/forums/fsx-...opic37948.html :

    MAX_TEXTURE_DATA=800
    TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=78
    TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024
    UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=30

    With default textures (FTX Global) works very well but for FTX other scenery (like f.ex. England ect.) I noticed some of kind blurry and slow loading textures.
    I know this parametr - FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.1,it generates max of fps at the expense of fast loading textures (better to use FFTF=0,99 for this but it isnt works well with internal fps limiter and VSynch = bigger stuttering).

    Any idea how to force FSX faster loading textures and no blurries in this mod idea?

    Btw.
    If You dont know this idea mod - try it - Im very surprised, maybe I have less fps but very stable and with high level of smoothness on complex scenery too. Just this blurries.... : / ...

    Yeah - you just went up too high. The default with SP2 is 0.33 - which I've always found too "stuttery", but just move it up to 0.18 first, do some test flying, then move it to 0.22 if it's still blurring, then 0.28 etc.. It will depend upon the power of your GPU compared to that of the CPU.

    Using BufferPools (doc here https://www.dropbox.com/s/qqc1w8ol9w...%20Buffers.pdf ) will gain some better graphics IQ, but again - this also depends on that same relationship.

    The other problem you might have, and I don't dispute Nick N here, is the choice of TBM, which you have at 78.... I think this might default to 40, as FSX wants only multiples of 5 in this case. Of course as above - even this little TBM thingy makes a difference, though not a great deal. Moreso when using DX10, but 40, 80 or 120 are th normal numbers, so try the 80, along with the FFTF of say 0.2 and see what happens. OK!

    All the Best,
