    Semi-OT: Geology with some Flying

This looks to me like some of the coolest stuff I've ever seen. Watch this and tell me you don't want to be a geologist! (Or a helicopter pilot...)

Great video! I've been fascinated by volcanoes ever since I first read as a seven or eight year old about the famous eruption of Paricutin in the middle of a farmer's field in Michoacan, Mexico, in 1943. Ever since then I've been hooked. I've seen some amazing footage in my day - especially by some of the greats like Haroun Tazieff as well as Maurice and and Katia Krafft - but this one just floors me. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to stand THAT close above the huge, boiling maw of that monster! The heat, the noise, the fumes, the shaking ground, all the while staring, mesmerized, at that kind of raw, unbridled, furious, natural power. Incredible!

Good to see I'm not the only one who flies with their toes...
