    And then Telluride (KTEX).

Some strenuous climbing, easy cruise, and then around the corner into Telluride (KTEX). Happily, the clouds did not obscure the field.

Monument Valley and then the Grand Canyon. Get out the Kodaks...
Departure delayed to walk the dog...
And takeoff now cancelled due to lack of time.

Another try. KTEX-KGCN. Would love to get out the Kodak, but we're starting out in a rainstorm at Telluride. Hope it clears for Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon.

Ha, yes Eamonn. The Legacy League is tied up as we head down the back stretch...until our luck runs out on the final turn and DC or Nick or Japo win by a nose. :isadizzy:

Rain and then clouds all the way. Not much of a view of the Grand Canyon or Lake Mead. ASE Headwind Machine @TM was working again.

Not much time at the Strip today. The client seems eager to return to the tables. So we are on our way to Death Valley.

More clouds, but at least we didn't encounter the predicted thunderstorm in Death Valley. The ASE Headwind Machine was in operation again. Seems to work by taking the reciprocal of the flight path and then adding 25kts wind -- contrary to the METARS.

In keeping with "eponymously named diseases", this is a.k.a. the Bry-Vi(rus) named after the first individual to routinely suffer the above stated condition.

I think the Metars are just used as recommendations, not to be followed.

    Into Reno Stead (4SD).

Plenty of in-flight entertainment with winds, "carb icing" and (maybe) wing icing.

Done. A quick $100 burger at the Sky Kitchen and then a cab to the Top of the Mark. The Tab's on me until the next pilot arrives.

Good deal Mike... but... only 17 landings?

Take comfort Willy... we maintain our standings (based on fuel usage). But watch out for Craig (in the 'other' Duke).
