FS2004/FSX Vought Corsair F4U-1. Big, tough, and fast, the gull-winged Corsair was a formidable fighter against any opposition. It was the first navy fighter to exceed 400 mph in level flight. The Corsair's signature gull wing prevented its immense propeller from chewing up the deck while keeping the landing gear struts short enough not to buckle in rough carrier landings. Original CFS2 model by Dbolt, upgraded to FS2004/FSX by A.F. Scrub.

It's worth a d/l, but reading the description I see that it's an old CFS2 model. I still have the original MS model that was ported to FS2002 Pro. Not sure how much different this will be.

This pretty much IS the CFS2 Corsair. It appears that the package's "author" took several bits and bobbles from different sources and applied them to "DBolt's Improved Stock F4U-1A for CFS2" (from one of several readme's). Matter of fact, there's one texture in the pack that was originally done by our own member "revev."

Nope - not taboo at all. It may fit someone's needs, but I suspect most members here already have their fill of Corsairs from either Alpha Bleu or Donationware.
