    Found these lurking.

It's amazing what you can find when digging through backups, when reinstalling your comp after giving in too the urge to Format C:

I especially like the German SAR scheme!
Wondering how Milton's Harpoon would look like in similar colours...?
Time for me to get the brushes out!

Nice repaints! If one had them, which Albatross model(s) would they work on?

There is also a "short wing" version of the same plane... I have been flying it for a while now but cannot remember where I got it. Same authors, an excellent visual model, nice cockpits... fun to fly.

    EDIT: At Simviation...

    Steve,

Are any of these repaints of the Albatross available? I went through your files here at the Outhouse and they weren't there.

They will be, I painted these a while ago and they got forgotten. I'm in the middle of rebuilding my flightsim at the mo, once I get a bit of time I will have a quick look at them in paintshop and upload.

I have had a quick peek at the textures in paint shop and realised why I abandoned working on these Hu16 schemes, the rear stabs ? (them sticky out bits on the back) have shared textures top and bottom. I will upload most of them over the next few days. And here is an updated piccie of the fictional retro scheme.

    Smile looking for some spirit

    Hi Steve,

I am also rebuilding FS9 because I had to many missing effects and scenery files to still fix it by partial reinstalls. Found some great planes I totally forgot about. I am going to try to make my hangar a bit smaller this time.:mixedsmi:

Did you not show some screens of WIP on a repaint for the Alphasim B-2 when it went freeware? Is it still lurking about somewhere? It was a lot more detailed than the default paintjob.

To quote the great Bart Simpson, " I didn't do it". I have never touched the alphasim B2. Good luck tracking them down.

Hey, SteveB - am keen to see some of your Albatross repaints posted when you get the chance!
Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.

After checking out Avsim, I ended up with the Grumman HU-16 Albatross version 2.1 and a set of Navy
textures for version 2.0! Will the 2.0 Textures fit the 2.1 model still?

    Thanks, Gang! :salute:

Hi Christopher, I think therefore i am prob incorrect when I say that the 2.1 has the floats mapped for textures and the 2.0 has the floats in yellow material colour. no idea if they work together. add the naval paints too your 2.1 model and see if they work. apart from the floats they will prob fit ok. if you have any probs with the float textures it is a 2 min job too do you some replacement float textures.

Thanks, Steve! I will certainly try it out! They are excellent packages! Grummans and Beechcraft have always been my favorite FS Aircraft!

    Thanks!

Sorry for the delay on uploading the repaints, real world has kept me away from fs for a few weeks. I will get my stuff together and get back on the case next week. I also have some Fictional PC-7's too add too the list.

That model looks suspiciously like Piglet's PC-7... correct me if I'm wrong. Excellent paint work, Steve.
